With consistent use, it seems to brighten the complexion and help control sebum production The watery texture can make application a bit challenging - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 20, 2025
Here's my review after using it for about a month. I tried it because I heard on YouTube that niacinamide is good for sebum control, and I loved it! It absorbs instantly without any stickiness, and it feels like it's controlling oil while tightening pores. Maybe that's why it seems to have worked wonders for my oily, acne-prone skin. It appears to have controlled both cystic acne and whiteheads! Although it's expensive, I've seen 10 times better results than from dermatologist treatments, so I'll likely keep using it. Thank you! It can be irritating at first and takes time for your skin to adjust, but if you use it consistently, you'll see results! Oh, and when you apply it to blemishes, it stings like applying red antiseptic! Nevertheless, I've finally found my holy grail. You'll see effects if you use it consistently for about a month! Morning routine: Mild acidic foam cleanser - Biohealbo pad - Biohealbo cream. Evening routine: Mild alkaline foam cleanser - Biohealbo pad - Paula's Choice serum - Biohealbo cream. I only use the Paula's Choice serum in the evening! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 4, 2023
Great for calming blemishes, reducing redness, and controlling oil production. I use it in three scenarios: 1. When I have breakouts 2. When my skin feels excessively oily 3. As a booster before applying retinol to enhance its effectiveness It's extremely lightweight. When applied to the face, it drips like water droplets. You need to support your face with one hand while applying to prevent it from running off - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 27, 2023
The watery texture makes it perfect as a first essence. I've seen great results in oil control and improving skin texture. I switched from The Ordinary to Paula's Choice because the zinc seemed to worsen my skin bumps, and I'm extremely satisfied. My skin texture has improved significantly. I'm on my third bottle now, and the more I use it, the happier I am with the results. It's quite pricey for the amount you get, considering I go through a bottle in about a month and a half. It works best when applied as the first step after toner. It's truly a holy grail product for me. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinNov 11, 2023
My rough skin became smoother and sebum production decreased. Apart from being a bit pricey, there's nothing to complain about. It's an excellent product. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 28, 2020
I switched from The Ordinary's niacinamide to this, and it's definitely worth the higher price. The texture is much better - it's lightweight and not sticky at all. It also does a great job controlling excess oil. If you're expecting significant brightening effects, you might be disappointed. Like The Ordinary's version, the results are subtle at best. You might notice a very slight fading of dark spots, but that's about it. The price is also quite steep for regular use. This product is ideal for oily skin types looking to control sebum production and gradually fade dark spots over time. It's a good choice if you're aiming for long-term brightening effects. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 28, 2019
It's not a miracle worker, but after consistently using over 4 bottles, I've noticed my skin has become brighter! I apply a bit more on my nose area due to pore concerns, and I've seen a reduction in sebum production. The best part? I don't need to use nose pore strips anymore. The price is... jaw-dropping. I stock up when it's on sale and use it regularly. I mix it with my moisturizer for easy application morning and night. In the evening, before applying cream, I use the dropper to put 2 drops on areas of concern, let it absorb, then follow with my cream. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAug 1, 2019
I started using this product knowing that niacinamide is great for brightening and controlling sebum, which also helps with pore reduction. First off, I love how the formula absorbs lightly into the skin. As mentioned in the product description, it's perfect for mixing with other serums or moisturizers, which I particularly appreciate. What's more, I've definitely noticed an overall improvement in my complexion, making it brighter. I'm so satisfied that I keep repurchasing this product! Let's talk about the price... It's really quite steep. I keep buying it because it works, but still... Also, personally, I didn't see much effect when using it as a spot treatment. It seems to be more effective in brightening the overall complexion. To further reduce irritation, I usually mix it with a hyaluronic acid serum when applying! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 15, 2018
Instant results! This product is expertly formulated with the perfect blend of antioxidants, soothing agents, and hydrating ingredients for maximum efficiency. In just one week, you'll notice reduced pores and normalized sebum production. After a month of use, your complexion can improve by 1-2 shades. I've been using it for over two years and have experienced powerful effects comparable to dermatological treatments. It's not an exaggeration to say that blemishes disappear, pores seem to vanish, skin texture becomes smoother, and your complexion gets a major upgrade. It may sound too good to be true, but it's a fact - the 10% niacinamide in this formula is even more potent than 1% retinol. Of course, those who respond well to niacinamide will reap all these benefits, while others might see more subtle results. I tried a copycat product from another brand that also boasted 10% niacinamide, but it didn't come close to the effectiveness of this one. It really shows the vast difference in product development capabilities between a globally-launched major company and a small domestic brand operating on a cottage industry level. While you might get away with using lesser-known brands for cleansers or toners, when it comes to functional skincare, it's crucial to stick with proven products from established global companies. The price is absolutely insane... 58,000 won for just 20ml. While I acknowledge that the ingredients are excellent and the product delivers remarkable results when used, the price point is excessively high.
