If you apply the Urban Decay eye primer and then the eyeshadow, the color payoff will be more vibrant and the color will last longer

If you're like me and prefer more shadowy or deeper makeup looks, this will be a holy grail. But if you enjoy brighter makeup and do it frequently, I also recommend (pink, red, or vibrant orange-toned) shadows like Painterly or Layin' Low in the same line!
Topping the groundwork with a pearly or glittery shadow is the finishing touch. A recommended holy grail combo is mono eyeshadows with a strong pearl effect, like Modern Fetale, or Mepho Diamond Powder types - they stick on perfectly and the longevity is a bonus, plus they just look gorgeous... The makeup in the review photo has MAC Honey Lust on top!

As obvious as it may sound, when I use this as a base, my makeup becomes too deep, and the colored shadows can't shine to their full potential. And the Korean retail price (32,000 won) is just too much to bear.

This is truly a must-have in my life. I used it throughout the summer and it never budged. There was one time when it got really bad (known for being waterproof), but the paint pot and the shadow I put on top of it survived! No need for other primers, the paint pot is the best. Once it's set, it lasts through anything! The groundwork is a slightly grayish muted brown tone, so it really gives a shadow-like effect. When applied lightly, it has a MAC Wedge vibe, and when applied more heavily, it has a Mulch vibe. It just meshes perfectly with my skin tone, and it's so long-lasting that even using it every time I do my makeup, it'll take 1-2 years to finish the huge amount.

Not really. The MAC Paint Pots in our country have slightly less color variety compared to the original, so I'm curious about other color options as well.

I also have this in the Laying Low color. Laying Low has a slightly yellow undertone, but the color and texture are the same as this one. Even though it seems expensive, the amount is so generous that you can use it for several years as long as the expiration date is not an issue.
The pros are that the color payoff is extremely impressive, and the color is beautiful!! It has a subtle sheen and the taupe-gray color is something I really like. The store staff even recommended using it as an eye primer. My eyes are an absolute oil field, but when I apply this eyeshadow, it lasts up to 8 hours at most, and there's hardly any oiliness or creasing on my eyelids. Over time, the eyeshadow may crease a bit with oil and eyeliner, but this one doesn't do that. It seems better than most eye primers. It doesn't budge even when I rub it with water, and when I pair it with my other life-changing eyeliner, it's unstoppable. I strongly recommend this eyeshadow to my friends.

Try using it together with MAC Satin Taupe. You can use it as a shading eyeshadow or as a base before applying a darker color.
