I've been using it all summer, and it never once broke down. There was a time when I cried really hard, and while my waterproof pen eyeliner (famous for not coming off) disappeared, the Paint Pot and the eyeshadow on top of it survived! No need for other primers, Paint Pot is the best. Once it sets, it stays put no matter what! Groundwork has a slightly grayish muted brown tone, giving a real shadow effect. When applied lightly, it's similar to MAC Wedge, and when applied more heavily, it has a multi-dimensional feel. It matches my complexion perfectly. The massive amount that seems to never run out is a bonus - even using it every time I do my makeup, it'll probably take 1-2 years to finish.
ConsIt might be stating the obvious, but using this as a base makes your makeup look deeper, and colorful eyeshadows might not shine as brightly. Also, the Korean retail price (32,000 won) is too expensive to justify buying it.
TipIf you're like me and prefer contoured or deeper makeup looks and are searching for a primer-like shadow base, this will be your holy grail. For those who prefer and often do lighter makeup, I use Painterly or Laying Low from the same line when using eyeshadows (like pink, red, or vibrant orange for a pop of color). Just add some shimmer or glitter over Groundwork, and your eye makeup is done. My recommended golden combo is to use it with pearl-heavy eyeshadows like Mono Eyes Modern Fatal or MAC Pro Diamond Powder types - they adhere well for long-lasting wear, and it's just beautiful! In the review photo, I'm wearing MAC Honeylust on top.
