This cleansing oil is incredibly refreshing without being greasy. It's likely to be a hit with those who have oily skin rather than dry. The fragrance is so lovely that you might mistake it for a regular oil rather than a cleansing one. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a non-greasy, fresh-feeling oil. I found the cleansing effectiveness a bit disappointing... It feels almost too light to properly cleanse? However, I was surprised to see other reviews praising its cleansing power.. - sy******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 25, 2020
I'm not sure about the ingredients, but personally, this product hit the spot for me. As someone with combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes, I usually avoid oils. However, I dislike deep dryness and I'm concerned about elasticity, so I've been using this often lately, thinking an oil-based formula would be the least irritating for cleansing. True to its 'self-foaming oil' name, it eventually produces a slight lather, feeling like a gentle cleanser. Thanks to this, it has a fresher finish compared to other oils, making for a really pleasant user experience! It's not overwhelming for my oily skin, yet leaves a moisturizing finish. While it's an oil and foam cleanser, suggesting good cleansing effectiveness, I recommend using this product as a first step after makeup, followed by a separate second cleanse. For those who wear makeup, it's great to use an eye makeup remover first, then this product for the initial cleanse, followed by a gentle cleanser for the second wash. Of course, this routine is best suited for oily skin types. - ev*********Dry SkinApr 19, 2019
It's perfect as a cleanser! It removes makeup so well and does everything in one step. I'm seriously impressed! I can't believe it has so many unfavorable ingredients. I was planning to buy the full-size after trying the sample, but... I guess I'll have to be content with just the sample. - oc********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 2, 2019
The gel texture doesn't run, making it convenient to use. After application, my skin feels wonderfully hydrated. I checked the ingredients on Hwahae and was absolutely shocked... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 1, 2018
There's absolutely nothing good I can say about this product... I received this as a free sample and it completely wrecked my skin. I've never experienced anything like this before. The red spots that appeared were so numerous, it was actually frightening. It's truly the worst product I've ever used, and I threw it away immediately. It's been three days since my skin reacted, and it's still in terrible condition. I shouldn't have trusted just the brand name. Looking at the ingredients now, they're absolutely awful. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 14, 2018
Nothing particularly stands out... Maybe the fact that you get samples when you buy Biotherm products? It causes blemishes... I developed something like white hives - in**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 21, 2017
Removes makeup extremely well due to sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate ingredients. However, those are harsh surfactants. I just realized they're using cheap, effective cleansing agents. I have no intention of repurchasing. Moreover, it contains all the problematic ingredients like PEG and fragrances. What's the point of cleansing well if it's damaging my skin? I'm considering tossing the half-empty bottle. The price seems excessive for these ingredients. Now that I'm more ingredient-conscious, I'll have to switch from Biotherm after using it for nearly 9 years. Looking at the ingredients, there are so many problematic ones. I've been using Biotherm's Pure.fect line, Aquasource moisturizer, Blue Therapy eye cream, and Biotherm BB cream for 9 years. Except for the Blue Therapy eye cream, all the other products seem to have subpar ingredients. It allows for double cleansing in one step. Three pumps remove facial makeup, then add water to lather and cleanse. However, due to the poor ingredients, I don't recommend purchasing. - le******Normal SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresAug 10, 2017
Best pros and worst cons all in one... hmm... It's a bargain. Considering the volume, it's cheap, and even just looking at the price, it's a steal. It removes makeup incredibly well. Takes off pretty much everything. Easily removes base makeup, eye makeup, glitter, lightly tinted lips, mascara, and eyeliner. Being an oil-to-foam formula, you can finish in one step. It's neither too drying nor too slippery... If we're just looking at its cleansing effectiveness, it's a solid 4-star product... The ingredients... it's just too much. It's hard to believe this is a 2016 product. That's why I didn't repurchase it either. The fragrance is also strong, which some people might dislike. And there are even two colorants... feeling betrayed. It looks clear when you squeeze it out, so I thought only the packaging was colored. Oh Biotherm... In short, everything except its cleansing power is disappointing... It performs its role as a cleanser almost perfectly. That's why I bought it too... the sample was so good, I just went ahead and purchased it. (That's why I'm giving it 2 stars) If you're not sensitive to fragrances and ingredients... um... maybe give it a try?? (The ingredients are so bad, I don't know what to say...) Definitely try a sample first. If you're thinking 'It's a rinse-off product, let's give it a shot. My skin is made of steel,' then make sure you don't let it absorb during the massage time and rinse thoroughly with water for a long time. Then it might be... a bit better... I guess... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 7, 2016
It's convenient to be able to do both oil and foam cleansing in one step. While it doesn't leave your skin squeaky clean, it removes makeup thoroughly. The price and product are great, but the ingredients are really not good. I won't be able to use it again, unfortunately.
