I'm leaving a review here for the Out for Passion color since it's sold out elsewhere. The melting balm texture applies smoothly and adheres well, seeming to fill in lip lines nicely. Despite some transfer, it maintains its color quite well. Although not as solid as a traditional lipstick, it's not too soft either, so it seems to last longer than expected. I bought this thinking it was a muted warm-toned pink, but when applied to my lips, it showed up as a bright pink with a white base. The fluorescent azalea pink color didn't appeal to me often, and due to its formula, it transferred quite a bit. Also, unlike the traditional MAC lipsticks, this one comes in a cylindrical, metallic-looking case which wasn't to my taste. - im**********Combination SkinRecommendedMar 10, 2021
Honest review from my own purchase! I love how moisturizing it is. I usually prefer matte lipsticks, but they don't look pretty when eating. So before meals or similar situations, I always apply this one. It fades naturally too. It doesn't stain heavily, so it's easy to remove. The swatch on the back of my hand shows a vibrant cherry color, but on the lips, it's a more subdued deep red style. The downside is that the opening gets dirty easily, so you need to clean it often. Unfortunately, it seems to soften quickly. If you apply it as a gradient on the inner part of your lips, it makes them look even fuller! - cj*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 23, 2019
This is my year-round favorite! I have a lot of dead skin cells on my lips, so I was looking for a moisturizing product. When I tried this, it felt like a lipstick with great color payoff combined with a lip balm. It's incredibly hydrating! When I applied it, it actually seemed to smooth out the flaky skin. The color isn't an overwhelming red, but it gives you a lively look when applied. I think this would be perfect for people with dry, flaky lips or those who love hydrating products. Since it's such a moisturizing product, it does transfer a bit when drinking or eating. Honestly, apart from the transfer issue, I can't think of any other drawbacks. - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 29, 2018
It's moisturizing and has a beautiful red color, reminiscent of gochujang (Korean red chili paste)! It feels a bit sticky and fades away quickly... - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedNov 9, 2018
Unlike other MAC products, this one doesn't have a matte finish, making it ideal for those with dry, flaky lips! It absorbs a bit slowly, can easily smudge, and tends to transfer quite a bit. For a prettier application, try layering it over a different base and mixing colors. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 15, 2018
It's incredibly moisturizing and the color is beautiful. It's red with a hint of orange. Usually, moisturizing lipsticks tend to wear off easily. This one is no exception. However, I like that it doesn't stain much. - eu******Oily SkinAcne SkinFeb 4, 2018
01. Moisturizing As someone with dry lips, I always apply lip balm before lipstick. But the MAC Huggable line feels genuinely hydrating. Even without lip balm, it's not drying at all, and the moisture lasts for ages. The creamy texture doesn't emphasize dead skin cells either. I think this is the MAC lipstick line that suits me best! 02. Cherry shade While it looks like a burgundy shade in the tube, once applied it's more of a toned-down red. It's quite pigmented but still looks natural. I love that I can apply it lightly for a subtle look with one swipe, or build it up to three swipes for a more vibrant effect - giving two different feels from the same product. 03. Long-lasting Despite being a moisturizing lipstick rather than a matte one, it has surprisingly good staying power. Unless you deliberately remove it or touch it frequently, it seems to last about half a day without fading. To be honest, there wasn't anything I disliked... If I had to pick one thing, maybe the ingredients? But I don't expect great ingredients in color cosmetics, so it didn't bother me! I've never experienced any tingling or blemishes on my lips from using it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 28, 2018
It removes well but stays moisturizing, so it's great to use even without lip balm! The color payoff is good and it applies smoothly. The staying power isn't great... It disappears after just one sip of water. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 7, 2017
It was the best for me, as I have a lot of lip flakes!😉 It's certainly not a matte type, so the longevity isn't great ㅠ - dm*******Combination SkinAcne SkinSep 17, 2017
I just tried lipstick for the first time and since I have a lot of dry skin, I couldn't use a matte one, so I bought a moisturizing lipstick! It's so hydrating and I don't even need a lip balm!! And I can apply it without looking in the mirror and it still looks pretty like a tint! I'm not sure if I'm applying it properly, but the inner part of my lips doesn't get covered well and the longevity is disappointing :(
