  Here's my review as one of The Hwahae Testers! I have dry skin that lacks moisture and doesn't do well with fermented products. The best thing about the Olivarrier oil is that it's different from typical 'oily' face oils that feel heavy. Instead of clogging pores, it feels like it creates a light, refreshing moisture barrier. In this dry winter weather, I can apply it before makeup without any pilling or emphasizing dead skin cells. It's great! Also, I usually apply Vaseline on my lips and around my eyes in winter to soothe flakiness - it's my little beauty secret. This oil pairs perfectly with Vaseline for that dewy, honey-like glow!

  Cons

  Personally, I wonder if it could have been just a bit more hydrating. While I highly recommend this for those who prefer lightweight oils that don't clog pores, I think some people with very dry skin like mine might wish for a richer face oil. Also, the bottle feels like light plastic, which is a bit disappointing. With such good ingredients and product quality, why skimp on packaging? I think paying a little more attention to that could boost sales!

  Tip

  If you want a richer texture, I recommend mixing the oil with a cream or Vaseline. For a light, hydrating finish, try combining it with a moisturizer. As a bonus tip, mix the oil with a body emulsion and apply it around your neck to prevent neck wrinkles! Here's to becoming healthier in 2019 with Olivarrier oil!

  This is a review selected by The Hwahae Testers. Skin condition: - Lately, my skin feels dry and flaky no matter what I apply - But I have oily skin, so there's unnecessary excess oil on my face - Generally, I don't have issues with ingredients 1. 100% plant-based squalane (olive-derived) + cruelty-free certified product. I loved that it's a vegan oil I can use with peace of mind. 2. Nearly fragrance-free, non-irritating, and non-sticky. Overall, it seems like a gentle and versatile oil. 3. After cleansing, when applied to the entire face with a massage-like motion, it eliminates tightness and slowly absorbs over 1-2 hours, significantly reducing flakiness. 4. When using matte makeup products, mixing this oil into your base products helps the makeup apply smoothly.

  Cons

  While it eliminates dryness, I'm not sure about its oil-control effects. It didn't feel too rich, but absorption was a bit slow. That said, I wouldn't want any additional ingredients added to this 100% squalane product. I plan to use it more and update my review.

  Tip

  This seems particularly helpful for dryness caused by treatments or peels, or for intensive use during fall and winter. Those with dry skin might benefit from consistent use year-round. Adjust the amount according to your skin type. I occasionally apply it all over my body after showering, and I love how long-lasting the hydration is.
