1. It's incredibly effective at removing excess sebum. 2. It even removes heavy makeup effortlessly. 1. The lack of a separate applicator tool makes it a bit unhygienic to use. 2. It's such a shame this product has been discontinued. I've never found anything that removes blackheads as effectively as this... - 12******Combination SkinSensitive SkinJan 29, 2020
Does this actually remove makeup? Is this the kind of gentle product I should be using? I'm not sure what the benefits are supposed to be. This doesn't remove any of my makeup at all... Is it meant for morning cleansing? I bought it without thinking much when it was on a buy-one-get-one-free deal, assuming Mamonde would at least be decent. But isn't removing makeup the bare minimum for a cleansing cream? I'm shocked that some people like it. It might be gentle, but it's so ineffective that I got frustrated and threw away the one I was using. I'm writing this review because I saw the unopened one I still have. - be**********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 5, 2019
I bought this product at a great price with a 50% discount from the Aritaum online outlet. The cleansing oil has a sorbet-like texture that doesn't drip, making it convenient to use. When you scoop it out and roll it on your skin, it transforms into an oil that effectively removes makeup. After following up with a cleansing foam, there's no residue left, proving its thorough cleansing power. I love how this balm-type cleanser melts smoothly, providing a gentle and non-irritating cleansing experience. It seems the packaging has been redesigned, and now the product might be discontinued as it's no longer available for sale. The strong rose scent might be divisive for those sensitive to fragrances. There's a slightly oily residue left behind, so using it alone doesn't leave your skin feeling completely refreshed - I follow up with a foam cleanser. I noticed that if you use a cleansing foam immediately after the cleansing balm, your skin can feel slippery. So, my routine is to use the cleansing balm, wipe off any residue with a wet wipe, and then follow up with a cleansing foam for a thorough double cleanse. - dm********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 6, 2019
When I roll this over my face to remove makeup, I can see the sebum from my nose on my hands - it was a culture shock! Since then, I've been using this every other day for deep cleansing and to remove blackheads! I can't think of any downsides! Some say it has questionable ingredients?? - -c********Normal SkinRecommendedOct 26, 2018
I wanted to try a cleansing balm, so I bought this at half price from LOHB's. It's like sherbet, gliding on even more smoothly than oil. The subtle rose scent is lovely too. No downsides to mention. Since I highly recommend this product, everyone should grab it when it's on sale at the drugstore! With cleansing balms, just apply, massage, then follow up with your second cleanse right away! - ji*********Combination SkinRecommendedOct 12, 2018
The fact that it's not irritating even if it gets in your eyes is a big plus. Although I first remove makeup with a lip and eye remover before cleansing, there are some products that sting terribly if they get in your eyes while washing. Some balm or cream types can leave a cloudy, oily film when they get in your eyes, but I didn't experience any discomfort in that regard with this product. However, as I mentioned above, I use it to remove base makeup after first removing color cosmetics, so I don't directly rub the product into my eyes. I apply it around the face, avoiding the eye and mouth areas, then massage it in to remove makeup, and only a small amount gets in or around the eyes when rinsing with water. Unlike oils, it doesn't run and get all over your elbows while massaging. It's less irritating because you can rinse it off with water without using a tissue (though a second cleanse is necessary). The transparent color allows you to see the makeup dissolving clearly. After cleansing, my skin feels less dry and more hydrated. The ingredients aren't great... It doesn't come with a built-in spatula. The one in the photo is one I bought separately, which happened to fit perfectly, so I keep it inside. Being a scoop-out type product, it's easy to use too much. The cleansing power is quite weak when used alone. Make sure to use a spatula, and it's best to determine the right amount for yourself from the start. The product itself isn't very large, so if you keep scooping out big amounts, you'll go through it really quickly. It's essential to follow up with a second cleanse. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 14, 2017
It's not overly oily and the texture is a bit firm at first, but this balm melts smoothly and is easy to roll, with a great emulsification process. I've never felt like it didn't cleanse properly, and it removes makeup cleanly. At 50% off, the value is really good. I'm not a big fan of rose scents, but the fragrance is pleasant. I would repurchase this. There's really nothing I'm dissatisfied with. The included spatula is there, but I find it a hassle to use, so it wasn't an issue for me. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 27, 2017
Wow, finally the power of my holy grail product is here!! After using cleansing water and oil, as I am a sebum-prone person, I felt refreshed and satisfied with the cleansing. So I decided to try the balm version, and it really melts smoothly, allowing me to feel the sebum granules rolling around. And most importantly, it's very gentle. The finish is great, and I don't think it will cause any breakouts. I will definitely repurchase! I bought it during a sale at Olive Young. As it's in a balm form, using a spatula is essential. You'll need to carefully control the amount. But there's nothing particularly disappointing about it. I can even do the full rolling motion in front of the vanity mirror and then go to the bathroom. And the second cleansing is still a must, as it can feel a bit unclean otherwise. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 23, 2017
I've been using it for about two to three months now. Since I have a dry skin type, using tissue or water-based cleansers would make my skin too dry. But I found a night-type cleanser and tried it, and I'm really satisfied with how I'm using it. Massaging and rolling it on my skin while cleansing, the scent is nice and it removes makeup gently. My skin used to get flipped over a lot, but it's less of an issue since using this. It's not entirely because of this product, but more due to changes in my lifestyle habits. Still, seeing that my skin doesn't get flipped over as much, this product doesn't seem to be a major troublemaker for my skin. Mamonde products always seem to have good quality for the price, so I use them. But I wish they would come out with larger-sized products, even if they're a bit more expensive. - ca****Combination SkinSep 19, 2017
I bought the rose-scented product when Mamonde had a 50% sale. I was looking for a cleanser that wipes off easily without much effort, as I usually find removing makeup to be a hassle. This cleanser just requires a quick swipe and rinse, making it quite convenient to use. The subtle rose scent also makes the cleansing experience pleasant and uplifting. The ingredients don't seem great. I've noticed some minor breakouts after using it, so I don't plan to repurchase. I don't think this product is worth the money. Also, having to scoop it out with my hands raises some hygiene concerns, as it can get contaminated over time. I would not recommend this product to those with sensitive skin.
