It removes residue incredibly thoroughly, and even if it accidentally gets in my eyes or when my skin is in terrible condition, there's absolutely no tingling or irritation. Even the famous Bioderma stung my eyes, which made me realize just how gentle this product's ingredients are... The price is neck and neck with Bioderma, so I've completely switched to this gentler La Roche-Posay for my daily cleansing water routine. I use it to give my face an overall wipe before my main cleansing step, and on nights when I've forgotten and fallen asleep right after using just this, I've never had a single blemish appear.
ConsIt has a slight dish soap scent, and no matter how effective its cleansing power is, you still need to use a separate lip and eye remover, so it's not suitable for completely removing all makeup on its own.

Let me start by saying that I don't expect strong cleansing power from cleansing water as I use it for my first cleanse, and I often use cleansing oil for my eyes. If a product doesn't suit my skin, it usually turns red and tingles, but this one didn't cause any such reaction. In fact, I found it to be gentle and non-irritating. My usual cleansing water tends to make my cheeks a bit flushed, but this one did that less. It was also quite hydrating for my dry skin. With one cotton pad, I could remove all my base makeup, and a second pad would come away almost clean, indicating a moderate cleansing power that's perfect for a first cleanse. I tried it on my lip tint by pressing for about 5 seconds - it removed some, but couldn't get rid of the stain completely. Overall, I'm very satisfied with how it moisturizes without irritating my sensitive skin.
ConsThere's a slight ethanol-like scent to it. It's not overpowering, but since I consider fragrance important, I found it a bit disappointing. If you're looking for a product with strong cleansing power, I wouldn't recommend this one. Also, it's a bit pricier than my usual cleansing water, so as a student, I might not be able to afford it regularly. That said, if I have more disposable income in the future, I'd definitely consider repurchasing it.
TipI recommend using a generous amount on your cotton pad instead of trying to be economical with small amounts. Don't skimp on the product to avoid irritating your skin. Trying to save a little on cleansing water could end up costing you more in dermatologist bills and cause unnecessary stress.
