This is really great! It works wonders when mixed with Estée Lauder products. Such a shame it's been discontinued though. There was nothing quite like it. It's disappointing that it's been discontinued. And for those with oily skin, absolutely avoid using this on its own! It's way too rich. - ll******Combination SkinMay 11, 2021
I bought this foundation for the first time after testing it at a department store, based on positive reviews. I'm not sure if it's because I purchased it without knowing much, or if all these products are like this, but it makes my skin look very yellow. As someone with a cool complexion, when I apply this, my face turns noticeably yellow. I've only used it a few times before relegating it to the back of my drawer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 23, 2021
It does a great job of filling in pores and the color is really beautiful. It creates a clean, flawless complexion. It worked well when my skin was oily, but as my skin type gradually changed to dry, it now feels a bit drying... However, the color is still truly beautiful. - ga****Dry SkinRecommendedAug 11, 2020
I was wandering around stores wondering which foundation to buy when I decided to try this one after getting a sample. On its own, you won't notice anything special, but it's a must to use it with Shu Uemura's Blanc:Chroma. Gently apply it with a sponge, patting it in, and you'll see your skin texture improve beautifully. It feels light and comfortable. I didn't realize how good it was until I finished it and started using Teint Idole - now my skin is flaking with dead skin cells and the deep dryness is killing me... If you're going to use Petal, make sure to pair it with Blanc:Chroma! This isn't a product with amazing coverage. If you want your skin texture to look good, I'd recommend this. For coverage, rely on concealer instead. Absolutely use a sponge puff! If you apply it thinly and pat it in, it makes your skin look naturally beautiful and absorbs well. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 4, 2020
It's clean, lightweight, and just perfect for easy application. The best part is you can apply it lightly with just a small amount. It's expensive. The quantity is less than expected, so you end up using it up quickly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 13, 2020
This foundation is perfect for winter and applies so naturally!! I've never used a foundation that breaks down so beautifully before. It might be a bit too moisturizing for summer, but the way it naturally settles on the skin makes it an amazing product! It's quite expensive... The brand value is too high for a college student to use regularly. I've become a foundation nomad... Once you use this, other foundations just don't compare. Highly recommended for winter use! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMar 7, 2020
I tried this for the first time, and wow, the adherence and pore coverage are truly superior to my usual brands like Espoir and Banila Co! Even when it fades, it maintains a color similar to when first applied, so I don't need touch-ups all day. It's honestly my holy grail! The shade has the least yellow undertone among Shu Uemura foundations, making it perfect for cool-toned skin. It would likely suit light undertones too. Cool-toned beauties, you must get this! It makes you look radiant and doesn't accentuate pores or texture issues. While I didn't experience many blemishes and used it well, I noticed it contains some potentially harmful ingredients. Those with sensitive skin should check the ingredients before use! Also, shade 375 is quite light, so cool-toned individuals with darker skin should carefully check the color chart! The application can be a bit thick, so prep your skin with extra hydration. Once your skincare has fully absorbed, spritz on some mist and blend with a puff for a flawless complexion. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 20, 2020
The staying power is impressive. The color is vibrant and fresh (though with the expanding color range of products these days, this might not be a unique selling point anymore). I bought this because it was advertised as a pore-minimizing foundation, but it actually settles into pores noticeably. It's quite matte, so unless you have very oily skin, even combination dehydrated skin might experience flaking. Mixing it with a moisturizer helps. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedFeb 19, 2020
As someone with dry and dull skin, I found this product quite beneficial. It offers decent coverage while giving my face a radiant look. I've been using it daily, and considering the generous amount you get, I'd say it offers moderate value for money. While I don't typically struggle with blemishes, I wouldn't recommend this for those who prioritize high coverage. Also, if you have extremely dry skin, it might accentuate dead skin cells. For best results, try applying it with a damp sponge - it'll give you that coveted Kim Hee-ae glow! - as*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 11, 2020
Just a light application covers pores effectively. It works well for my combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes. I've been using it since my 20s and it's still a great match for me. The only downside might be that it's less convenient than a stick format. Other than that, I have no complaints.
