- Absorption: Excellent As someone with dry skin, during these sweltering days, heavy creams feel burdensome, but we can't ignore deep dryness, can we? This is perfect for before work in the morning. The instant absorption is the most satisfying point. - Fragrance: Moderate It's an aromatic scent, so it might take some getting used to. - Hydration: Very Good It's ideal as a summer moisturizer. From 8 AM to 6 PM, I didn't feel any dryness. I'm not sure about after that since it's my cleansing time. The price and ingredients. Unless it's a gift... the value for money is really low. Even with dry skin, in summer you can finish your skincare routine with toner - essence (instead of emulsion) - cream. You can adjust the consistency of the essence as needed. Since it lacks barrier/moisturizing functions, those who need it can add an extra step without worry. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinOct 18, 2021
It absorbs well and doesn't feel sticky when applied. Those with extremely dry skin might find it a bit lacking in moisture. I didn't experience any blemishes, and I actually liked the scent. I used it without checking the ingredients, but when I happened to look them up later, I was shocked. Considering the price for the amount you get... it was just okay for me, so I probably won't repurchase. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinJun 23, 2021
The oil and moisture balance is pretty good. I was worried it might feel greasy when I applied it, but it absorbs well and left my skin feeling supple. The scent wasn't bad either, and it had a nice texture. (I already use Physiogel emulsion, so I didn't feel like I was lacking much.) I had no idea the ingredients were this bad. I used to not care about ingredients if the product worked well, but now that I've seen them, I feel uneasy. And why is it so expensive? At this rate, I could probably get better value for money with Korean skincare products. For those with very dry skin who find this insufficient, it might be good to try absorbing more of your base skincare products. I'm leaving this comment because many people say it's too dry. This is just my personal opinion. The more liquid the product, the better it absorbs, so I use this routine: booster essence - cream skin - essence toner (runny texture) - (essence/serum) - emulsion - moisturizing cream - nourishing cream - (face oil in winter). I apply them all. Some days I skip one or two steps. But when my skin is dry, I make sure to apply every step. Doing this routine every day can be tiring and might not be necessary. I already use three types of liquid products, so my skin is already supple. Sometimes in the morning, I just apply this and do my makeup. But at night, I make sure to apply everything thoroughly. That way, my skin stays hydrated until morning. Of course, if you only used toner, your skin would feel supple, but if you lack moisture at night and in the morning, your face might feel tight. Then, if your oil-moisture balance is off, your face might get oily (even dry skin can produce oil, which is annoying). So, apply everything well at night and trust that it'll absorb while you sleep. Consistent care is key. We all know we should drink lots of water, but it's hard to do. Dry skin folks, drink your water! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 8, 2021
It absorbs well, hydrates effectively, and has great moisturizing power. All aspects are excellent! The price is quite high and the ingredients could be better. That's a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 8, 2021
I switched from my usual K.O. Ultra Facial Moisturizer, which felt too dry in winter, and I'm loving this one. It absorbs into the skin without feeling greasy, and keeps my skin plump and hydrated until morning. I have generally dry skin with blemishes in the T-zone, making it combination. This cream absorbs well and moisturizes deeply without feeling heavy, which I really appreciate. After using unscented creams, the strong, classic 'mom cream' scent typical of Darphin products is quite noticeable. If you're not a fan of such fragrances, this might be a hit or miss for you. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 26, 2020
It absorbs well and feels lightweight. You can immediately feel the hydration after applying. The fragrance is a fresh, watery scent - Darphin products always have such lovely fragrances. I was torn between the Light and Rich versions, but chose Light. It's much lighter than other brands' gel-cream formulas. While it does leave a slightly sticky feeling, my eye and mouth areas feel tight. I have combination skin, so I bought the light cream, but I think the rich cream might be better for seasonal changes. And the ingredients... I was shocked. I've used Darphin for years when my skin acts up, but I had no idea it contained so many questionable ingredients. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 1, 2020
It's so moisturizing and absorbs instantly, so I can slather it on without a care! As someone with dry skin, I use a rich cream in winter and a light cream in summer, but this one lacks a bit in oil and moisture balance. I spritz on some mist, apply essence, and then quickly smooth this on. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 19, 2020
The Darphin Light Gel Cream absorbs so well and has excellent absorption, which is why I keep using it While I apply a lot of moisturizer both morning and night, I feel like the amount in the container is too small - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJun 10, 2020
It absorbs well and feels great on the skin. Probably the best moisturizer I've tried. There's not really anything to complain about. If I had to nitpick, maybe the price, haha. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 5, 2020
Absorbs well and has great application. May be slightly irritating for sensitive skin, but it worked well for my combination dehydrated skin! It's quite expensive in the domestic market. Also, it doesn't seem to help much with calming the skin when it's feeling sensitive.
