The fragrance is subtly pleasant. It applies in a thin layer and leaves the skin feeling hydrated. It seems my skin doesn't agree with this product. After application, the areas around my eyes, nose, and mouth turn red and I experience an intense feeling of tightness. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 24, 2023
It stays hydrated for a long time and absorbs well. It gives a nice glow to the skin. When applied, it caused a tingling and burning sensation, and I experienced an allergic reaction on my skin. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 20, 2022
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, most moisturizers don't give me that plump feeling, but this one feels like it's deeply hydrating my skin? Not recommended for acne-prone or seborrheic dermatitis skin This is the only thing that's changed in my routine, and I'm certain it's the culprit. I'm already prone to regular pimples, but now I've developed seborrheic dermatitis too, resulting in a $500 dermatologist bill. I bought this hoping to use something nice on my forehead where I recently had a breakout, but it spread and caused seborrheic dermatitis. Now my entire face looks like this. I used it daily because it felt so deeply hydrating, but it's made things worse than ever. I thought it might be due to my period, but it wasn't that time, and I considered it might be my makeup, but it's even worse than when I wore makeup daily. My skin has become super sensitive, and it stings every time I use a puff to apply anything. I got it on sale during the family event, so I don't feel too bad about the money spent, but still... - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinApr 12, 2022
The satisfaction of using a high-end cosmetic product... That's about all I can say. My face became a mess due to blemishes... I regret using this. It seems some people's skin just doesn't agree with it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 22, 2021
It absorbed lightly and smoothly, with a pleasantly subtle fragrance that wasn't overpowering. The hydration after application was also excellent. For the first few days it was fine, but at some point it started to feel a bit tingling on my skin. If you have super sensitive skin like me, I'd recommend patch testing before use. For those without sensitive skin, this product could be fantastic! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 25, 2020
I bought this Darphin product at Trader Joe's because of the brand's good reputation. I have acne-prone skin with frequent breakouts, and my skin type is oily on the surface but dry underneath. I used this product for about 6 months before I knew about the Hwahae app. From my perspective, there weren't many positives about this product... I just tried it because I heard Darphin was good. After using it for about 2 months, I kept getting bigger blemishes, and eventually they spread to my neck... But then I learned from the Hwahae app... It turns out the product contains many ingredients that can trigger allergic reactions... No wonder my face would occasionally feel itchy... After discovering the ingredients through the Hwahae app, I stopped using this product... Now I only choose products with good ingredients that rank in the top 5 on the app. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinOct 9, 2020
The cooling effect on the face is really excellent. It seems even better when you keep it chilled before use. I have sensitive skin, and it stings so much when I apply it. I keep having allergic reactions. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinApr 28, 2020
It's gentle... That's all I can say for sure. Unfortunately, it didn't work well for me. On days when I used Darphin, my skin felt a burning sensation, became hot, and swelled up. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinNov 11, 2019
I bought this for a bargain during my trip to France. The texture was just right for oily skin - moisturizing without being too heavy. As soon as I applied it, my face started tingling and turned bright red. I'm usually careful about ingredients but I don't have sensitive skin. This has never happened before, except with some cleansers. The burning sensation was immediate. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with super sensitive skin. Also, the fragrance reminds me of old-fashioned cold cream or massage cream that older ladies used to use. The scent is way too strong. Overall, I found it disappointing for the price. In my experience, all Darphin products have questionable ingredients. My tip would be to avoid them altogether. I bought several French pharmacy brands while in France (including some popular in Korea), but generally found they contained less-than-ideal ingredients and weren't particularly pleasant to use. I think Korean natural cosmetics are much better in terms of ingredients, price, and overall quality. - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 3, 2019
Feeling fancy using Darphin! Love the luxurious feel, pretty color, and how smoothly it applies. That's about all the positives I can genuinely say. Oh boy, I should've checked the ingredients more carefully... Sensitive skin folks, steer clear! My face is itching like crazy. When I applied it, there was this stinging sensation. Instead of waking up to better skin, my complexion actually darkened, as if I got a tan. Not good. Still, it's Darphin, so I tried it on my neck to not waste it... Big mistake. Got all blotchy, broke out in a rash, and had an allergic reaction. You know those bumpy mosquito bites? Yeah, like that. The itching is unbearable - I've tried wiping it off with alcohol and Daktarin alternately, but it's still so itchy. I'm prone to cosmetic reactions, but this is next level. At this point, I'm scared to even use it on my feet. Expensive doesn't always mean better. If I'd known, I would've just bought the Etude Collagen Cream instead. Maybe your feet would appreciate this more than your face
