Hwahae is great for calming skin troubles!! I'm currently struggling with folliculitis, but I'm receiving help. Applying too much can cause your skin to peel. Mix it with basic products and apply it moderately. - cj******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 23, 2025
I honestly bought this because the blemishes that exploded after my trip just wouldn't calm down. I was torn between this and the Alive Lab product, but since I often use Sidmool and they had a 1+1 deal, I went for this one. The day it arrived, around lunchtime, I immediately sprinkled it on my face, put on a sheet mask, did my entire skincare routine, and even mixed a small amount into my final moisturizer. Around 7 PM, when I looked in the mirror, the redness was completely gone. The small bumps where sebum was coming out were still there, but those seemed like they needed extraction. The red blemishes nearby had noticeably calmed down. This is almost the first product where I've seen such results in just one day! I've used many centella products from Sidmool before, but this is the real deal. I think the zinc ingredient, which is also good for soothing, made it even more effective. Mixing the powder is a bit of a hassle, and there's some excess that flies around, which feels a bit wasteful. But I guess that's unavoidable with a powder type product. You can pretty much mix and apply it anywhere. It's great to sprinkle on a sheet mask or mix into your cream. For areas that need extra care, just lightly dust some powder as a spot treatment, and it'll be soothed by the next morning. - mm*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 9, 2024
I applied this after extracting blemishes. When applied to oozing spots, it quickly stops the discharge and seems to speed up skin recovery time. Due to the Centella Asiatica ingredient, I didn't feel any irritation. However, when mixed with an ampoule, there was a slight tingling sensation, possibly due to dryness. When applied as the final step in your skincare routine or with a cream, it leaves the skin feeling soft and powdery. It's 'matte but moisturized,' so there's no stickiness and it seems less likely to cause irritation. When you tap the product to use it, powder flies out from various holes all over. - k9***Combination SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJun 1, 2024
When my blemishes are really acting up, I mix a bit of this with my cream, pat it on, and sleep. The soothing effect is quite impressive, more so than other centella products I've tried. Be extremely careful - if even a tiny bit gets in your eyes, it's game over. Avoid the eye area as much as possible and be extra cautious not to rub your eyes. - mj*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedMar 31, 2024
Skin type: Combination, Sensitive Usage period: 5 years Product description: - Texture: Large particle powder formula - Application: Applies smoothly. No clumping, but doesn't spread evenly - Finish: Soft and powdery Pros: Before I explain, the two photos in the 4th image are of the same person - my forehead. I've never had dermatological treatments like acne extraction. In my teens, due to hormonal changes and frequent makeup use, I had severe whiteheads and pustular acne on my forehead. While I used other products for skin recovery, this Centella Powder was the most effective. I used it frequently and still use it in my 20s. 1. Whiteheads and pustules - Incredibly effective for pustular and whitehead acne. Especially helpful for hard-to-extract acne - you can see it gradually subsiding. Not only did it reduce existing acne, but I also noticed a significant decrease in breakout frequency. While I used other products alongside it for pustular acne scar management, this powder alone was powerful enough to completely eliminate my whiteheads. 2. Brightening effect - When you want to brighten your skin but worry about aggravating acne with makeup, this product provides a natural brightening effect. I actually didn't apply makeup to my acne-prone forehead, but used this powder occasionally to match the tone with other made-up areas like my cheeks! 3. Finish - Comfort: No matter how thickly you apply the powder, it never feels heavy or suffocating. As someone who hates feeling constricted, I found this product incredibly comfortable. - Non-drying: Despite being a powder, it doesn't feel drying or like it's stripping moisture (no tightness). It also doesn't emphasize dead skin cells or cause patchiness. 1. Packaging - It's difficult to control the amount of powder that comes out. Sometimes too much powder comes out, or a lot of product sticks to the opening, causing powder to scatter when you open the lid, which can be inconvenient. 2. Mixing with other products - While it's supposed to be optimized for mixing, it blended well with thin or hydrating cosmetics but didn't mix well with sticky or thick products. Even after repeated mixing attempts, some powder remained undissolved, which occasionally irritated my skin. Despite these drawbacks, this product significantly contributed to improving my skin... so I'm giving it five stars. When applying the powder directly without mixing it with other cosmetics, it can be challenging to control the amount. In those cases, I used a powder puff. Pour some Centella Powder onto a puff (thicker is better), spread it out with your hand to control the amount, then apply it to problem areas for a thin and natural application. - on*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMar 21, 2024
I've been struggling with folliculitis, but the combination of Goo Spot and Centella Powder has really calmed it down. When applied thickly, it hardens and peels off! I think it's even more effective than zinc ampoules! There's nothing to complain about with the Centella Powder since it's so effective at soothing blemishes! The Goo Spot and Centella Powder combo works wonders when applied thickly as a spot treatment or thinly all over. It keeps oil at bay and leaves skin feeling fresh! When you need to go out, blend it with a hydrating moisturizer to make it invisible. On makeup-free days, pat it all over for a bright, matte finish! - ss********Dry SkinSensitive SkinDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 23, 2023
This review is based on over a year of use. The biggest advantage is that you can easily pat it on any area that concerns you. Since it's a powder, it doesn't absorb directly on the face, so I mix it with essence. The amount seems endless - I bought it as a 1+1 deal, and it barely decreases no matter how much I use. To be honest, I haven't seen significant results. It's more about psychological comfort and the satisfaction of feeling like I've done something for my skin today. Also, Sidmool's typical unappealing packaging is a downside. After cleansing, I sprinkle it generously on areas of concern while tilting my head back to prevent it from running. Then I gently cover it with a sheet mask. This way, it feels like it's dissolving and absorbing along with the mask essence. - go*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 29, 2023
The powder is finely milled and has a delightfully intense fragrance! It seems to help with blemishes too! Being a powder formula, there's quite a bit of excess when applying. That's why it might be better to mix it with other products rather than using it alone! I mix it with emulsions, creams, or foam cleansers for best results! - bi******Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRecommendedMar 24, 2023
I love that it's in powder form, so I can mix it with emulsions or sunscreens anytime. I used it hoping it would help with skin barrier repair and wound healing. Also, when mixed with sunscreen, it seems to slightly reduce the rich feeling of the sunscreen. Using too much might make your skin feel a bit dry, but it's not quite effective enough to use as an oil-control or no-sebum powder. To minimize excess powder, tap the back of the container gently over your palm with the emulsion, allowing you to control the amount easily. - qo**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedDec 23, 2022
When mixed with moisturizer, it feels less rich and seems to calm those pesky little blemishes. I wish the powder dispenser had a narrower opening to prevent it from scattering everywhere.
