I had purchased and used the product last year, but there was a slight stinging sensation then. The soothing gel I received this time had no stinging, which I really liked!! I'm so glad the irritation has improved. I applied the calamine soothing gel to my child's cracked elbow area, where the wound was, as they kept scratching it. It didn't hurt and they said it felt fine. It's good for soothing mild itchiness or heat in the skin. However, the soothing effect wasn't immediate. But when I only used the soothing essence without any other soothing moisturizer, the next day the reddish acne that had flared up from the mask and makeup was calmed down. I've been using it daily ever since! 2. No Pilling I'm usually not a user of soothing gels, but after a friend's product caused pilling for me in the past, I've avoided them. But this product doesn't pill at all, even when I apply it generously, so I make sure to use it morning and night. 3. Smooth Application It applies just as smoothly as other soothing gels. After application, my skin feels plump. Even though my skin is quite dry, I've never experienced any makeup pilling when using this. 4. Fragrance Fragrance is usually a hit-or-miss, but this product is fragrance-free, so I had no issues using it comfortably. 5. The biggest problem with this type of soothing gel is the subtle stickiness that remains after application. In that regard, it passes the test. It doesn't get immediately absorbed as soon as you apply it, but a few pats make it fully absorbed. I applied it to my husband's reddened arms after driving for a long time with short sleeves. While I couldn't take a picture, it did seem to have a calming effect on his brief sunburn.
Cons
The claim of -4°C cooling sensation right after application is a bit exaggerated. I didn't feel a significant cooling effect, but there was a definite soothing sensation. The good ingredients are satisfactory, but it really has no scent at all. No matter how much I sniffed the area after application, I couldn't detect any fragrance. 😊Review from a Hwahae Trial Reviewer😊 As shown in the photos, there are some granules, but I hardly felt them on my fingers when applying it! I thought it would be a lightweight soothing gel, but it actually provided quite a substantial amount of moisture. I really liked that aspect! First of all, the ingredients are very gentle, which I appreciated, and the volume is generous, so I can apply it liberally wherever my skin needs hydration. Compared to regular soothing gels available in the market, this one is much thicker and makes my skin feel more supple and bouncy👍🏻👍🏻

One downside is that I didn't really feel the cooling sensation. I didn't get that immediate refreshing feeling upon application. Also, instead of absorbing completely into a powdery finish, there was a slightly sticky residue left behind. Pros
A 123-day-old baby had a high fever, so soothing gel was an essential from newborn days. After all, just applying soothing gel would dry out the skin, so I always had to apply lotion on top. This product didn't dry out the skin nearly as much as other products! I tried it out on myself first before using it on the baby, and even though I have dry skin all over, my face, arms, and thighs didn't feel tight at all. The absorption is great👍 I thought it would be a bit sticky since it has a bit of viscosity, but after about 5 minutes, there was no stickiness at all. You could visibly see the baby's flushed face calm down after applying this product! I will definitely repurchase, and I'm going to check out some of their other products as well.

Even though it's safe for newborns, it's unscented. But that's actually a reassuring aspect. It doesn't seem to have a cooling sensation when applied. This is probably also because of the gentle ingredients. The temperature went from 37.2°C before applying the soothing gel to 37.0°C about 10 minutes after applying it. It's not really a downside, but if I had to nitpick, that would be it.
Tip
The pink beads dissolve when you rub them! I applied it to the baby's face and massaged it in while singing a lullaby, and the baby loved it! Seeing the baby smile made me excited too🙈

The product seems to apply smoothly and absorb quickly, which I really like. My makeup used to break down in the afternoon, but after applying the Calamine Soothing Gel, the breakdown has noticeably decreased. I'm quite sensitive, but this product seems to work well for me. I'm happy with it^^

It's incredibly gentle. Just by looking at it, it's colorless and odorless. The scent is barely noticeable, but if I had to describe it, it's a faint minty smell. That's probably because of the herbs in it. Since it's a product that can be used by babies, it seems they really focused on the ingredients.
Cons
The pink powder capsules don't dissolve as well as expected. Most of the granules did dissolve, but there's always one or two left behind whenever I apply it. The cooling effect from the herbs also doesn't seem to be that significant. If you're looking for an immediate cooling sensation, it might be better to store the product in the fridge and then use it. And since it's in a gel form, it doesn't absorb as smoothly and leaves a slightly sticky feeling. It's still manageable in the current mild weather, but it might feel unpleasant in the summer when it's really hot.
