I have an oily scalp with fine, limp hair. I don't like strong fragrances. This shampoo suits me well. It lathers nicely and the scent isn't overpowering. It's not exactly cheap, though it's more affordable than luxury department store brands. I'm also a bit concerned that it contains Japanese Fuji green tea extract. Recommended for oily hair types! - ub*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 6, 2021
Even though I have super sensitive skin on my hands, it's gentle enough for daily use! It has a very subtle green tea scent. You could say the fragrance is almost too natural. The combination of The Body Shop's Fuji Green Tea Shampoo and Yves Rocher's Hair Vinegar is absolutely amazing! It leaves my hair shiny and bouncy. - py******Combination SkinJan 20, 2021
First off, it lathers up wonderfully. One of this product's strengths is that it produces ample foam even without a foaming net. I was also drawn to purchase it because it's a vegan beauty brand that opposes animal testing. I never had scalp issues before, but after using this product, I think I've developed dandruff. My scalp is flaking badly, feels extremely dry, and my hair has become brittle. It's not even cheap, so why are the ingredients like this? It's a total disaster. I've forced myself to use about half the bottle, but I'll just save it for travel. It's definitely not suitable for daily use. - ss****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedNov 15, 2020
As someone who absolutely adores the scent of green tea, this is one of those products I always grab when I visit The Body Shop. After washing my hair with it, I feel incredibly refreshed! While it's a bit on the firmer side, likely because it's formulated for oily hair, it works wonders when paired with a treatment or conditioner. (Highly recommended for those with oily scalps or who struggle with strong odors at the crown!) Using the shampoo alone can leave your hair feeling a bit stiff. But hey, I still love this green tea shampoo! If you use the shampoo by itself, you might experience some static. Make sure to follow up with a conditioner! - km*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinOct 3, 2020
The fragrance is absolutely amazing, and it lathers up really well too. I've never had issues with shampoos before, but this one completely irritated my scalp and caused me a lot of trouble. While washing, it had a nice cooling effect that felt refreshing, but my hair quickly became flat and lifeless after drying. I really can't understand why it's so expensive. - hy*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedDec 14, 2019
I've always looked for volumizing shampoos because my hair is thin and lacks strength. I avoid supermarket brands and opt for gentle products that don't irritate my scalp, as I experience hair loss. This shampoo is fantastic - it adds volume, feels refreshing, and has a nice cooling effect. I'm really satisfied with its invigorating feel and natural scent. The cleansing power is excellent. Even if I skip washing for a day, when my scalp usually feels oily and itchy, this shampoo leaves my hair feeling fresh. I love the cooling effect that helps reduce scalp heat too. While it may not lather as much as supermarket brands, I know that excessive lather often means more surfactants. This shampoo has just the right amount of foam for a comfortable wash. The texture is slightly thinner than typical supermarket shampoos, with a viscous consistency that doesn't run too freely. Compared to cheap shampoos full of harsh chemicals and surfactants that are bad for the scalp, I'm very satisfied with this product's quality ingredients and refreshing feel for around $14. The 400ml bottle lasts me about 1-2 months, which seems reasonable. I use it exclusively and plan to repurchase! This product is great for those with oily combination skin who experience a lot of scalp heat. It has a cooling effect during washing and effectively removes excess oil. However, it might leave your hair feeling a bit dry and frizzy afterwards. While the scalp feels fresh and clean, the hair might feel a bit dry and frizzy. Make sure to use a conditioner when using this shampoo. Applying a hair essence afterwards can help soften your hair and reduce the frizziness significantly. - ky****Dry SkinInner DrynessDec 6, 2019
The cleansing effectiveness is great, and it leaves my hair feeling refreshed. There's hardly any fragrance, and it rinses clean without leaving residue on the scalp. I've used it in winter too, and it doesn't seem to be overly drying. Apparently, it's made with green tea from Mount Fuji in Japan. I only used it because it was a gift from work, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it. There's a slight chance it could be affected by radiation, after all. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinOct 4, 2019
I just really like this shampoo. It has a pleasant scent and cleanses effectively, which is why I enjoy using it. I wasn't aware that the ingredients weren't great. I've used about 4 bottles, but I think I'll try something different next time. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 3, 2019
My hair is always super greasy, leaving it looking flat and lifeless. Even after washing, within hours people ask if I've forgotten to shower, and by evening it's so oily I get nagged to wash it again... ugh! I've tried various shampoos since realizing how crucial the right one is, but nothing really helped. I discovered The Body Shop's tea tree line thanks to my sister-in-law and decided to give their shampoo a try. First off, I absolutely love the scent. With consistent daily use, it seems to have reduced the oiliness too. I haven't had any issues, so I'm on my 5th bottle now? Even my husband switched from ginger shampoo to this one, saying he prefers it. We're both using it now. I stock up on 3 bottles every time there's a sale. It's a shame about the harmful ingredients though, sigh... The price-to-volume ratio is pretty brutal. It runs out so quickly... I really wish they'd come out with a larger size. A little goes a long way with its rich lather, so you can make it last longer! - oe**Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsJun 14, 2019
My scalp was always red and irritated. I suddenly started getting severe blemishes, thick dead skin cells, and dandruff since last year. Prescription medications only worked temporarily. I've been trying various shampoos, and this product is no exception. It really proves that everything is trial and error! The key is to test small amounts of products to find what works. With great ratings, word-of-mouth recommendations, and positive reviews, I was tempted by the sales pitch when I went to the store during a sale period. Being easily swayed, I fell for the employee's words and bought a large quantity. I've been using it for a year, and while it suited my scalp initially, it's been useless since. My scalp gets itchy, develops blemishes, and becomes oily quickly. Over time, my scalp feels sticky, and my hair becomes stiff. Looking at it now, the ingredients aren't even good. The lesson is to always buy and try just one product at a time! Falling for bulk discounts is always the problem. The 'natural' advertising is completely misleading given the terrible ingredients! The price isn't particularly reasonable either. It's just expensive with a small quantity. There's absolutely zero improvement! After a while, the oiliness and stickiness on the scalp are no joke. I'm still using it as shampoo multiple times to not waste it. When I use it for first and second washes, it seems a bit better for my scalp. At least it lathers well with a small amount.
