  Pros

  The gel primer is absolutely essential when using NuFACE.

  Cons

  I only used it for one day... I should have tested the gel first. Within a minute of applying it, my face started burning. Even after finishing with NuFACE and washing my face again, redness appeared, and eventually blemishes broke out all over my face. Now, even with makeup on, everyone can notice the blemishes.

  Tip

  Make sure to test it on the delicate skin behind your ear first!

  Personally, I found using the dedicated gel to be noticeably more effective than products from other brands

  Cons

  While the lifting effect was visibly impressive, I had to stop using it because it always caused blemishes

  It seems you could use a regular aloe gel for a similar massage-like effect

  It feels like the device runs a bit more firmly compared to aloe gel

  Cons

  When I apply this, it feels like my face is burning. Especially around the lips, it's numbing as if I've applied anesthetic. I didn't use it for a while, but when I tried it again yesterday, I had the same sensation. This morning, I noticed the inside of my lips had turned dark, almost burnt, and became as dry as scorched leaves.

  Pros

  Since it came with my NuFace device, I have this psychological expectation that it might be slightly more effective than other gels when used together with the device.

  Cons

  From the first application, my face felt hot. Even without using the device, just applying the gel caused a burning sensation. Unlike the tingling I experienced with Kiehl's products, this felt like my face was heating up. They suggest testing on the inner arm, which I did without any reaction, but the feeling on my face was completely different, making the arm test seem pointless. I planned to use it for just 3 days until I could buy aloe gel, but even though I didn't break out, I'm too scared to use it long-term. The instructions show an image of wiping it off with a cotton pad after use, but I had to wash my face completely because of the heat. The burning sensation continued until it dried completely.

  Can be substituted with aloe gel. Note: Please read American reviews as well before purchasing.

  Pros

  This gel comes with the NuFace device. It helps the microcurrent penetrate the skin effectively. It's incredibly hydrating, and the next morning, whether due to the microcurrent or the gel, my skin feels incredibly smooth.

  Cons

  However, as I have super sensitive skin, I usually only use gentle skincare and makeup products without harmful ingredients. Initially, it was fine, but recently when I apply it, I feel a burning sensation and tingling on my skin. I'm also experiencing some redness and hive-like bumps.

  Tip

  My mom uses it well, so if you don't have extremely sensitive skin like me, you'll probably enjoy it. You don't necessarily need this specific gel for NuFace - you can use other gels or creams (like aloe gel or a clear hydrating moisturizer).
