#Skin Type My skin is dry and prone to itching in winter. I had atopic dermatitis when I was younger, and I sometimes experience contact dermatitis depending on environmental factors and my immune system. #Reason for Purchase I tried Pyunkang* because people said it was good, but it stung a lot when my skin was sensitive. So I was looking for a rich formula that was less irritating, which led me to buy this. #Review This has become my holy grail. It doesn't sting at all even when my skin is sensitive. The fragrance is wonderful, and most importantly, it lasts all day long. It's like a subtle floral scent mixed with shea butter? Anyway, it's delicate and lovely! My boyfriend also bought it because he liked the scent, and many of my friends have asked about this miracle cream. I highly recommend it! Because it has a rather rich texture, it might transfer onto your clothes if you get dressed immediately after applying. While I'm satisfied with its thick consistency, those looking for a lighter feel might want to pass on this one. Due to its excellent moisturizing power and long-lasting fragrance, it might also work well as a hand cream if you decant some into a smaller container! If you find it too rich, try applying it while your skin is still damp after showering. This seems to improve the absorption somewhat. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 15, 2022
When my skin felt dry and uncomfortable, I used this product with its rich formula. It gave me a sense that my skin was being protected. The container is huge, so you need to use a tool to scoop it out and make sure to close it tightly to prevent spoilage. Also, it might be too rich for some, so I'd recommend it mainly for winter use. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 10, 2022
The fragrance is lovely. It has a rich, creamy texture. Please see my concerns below. I have somewhat sensitive and dry skin. After using this, I kept getting bumps and itchiness. At first, I thought my body was just very dry, so I applied even more generously. This caused bumps and itching all over my body where I applied it. So, I decided to check on Hwahae and found it contains many potential allergens. I'm planning to visit a dermatologist today... If you have sensitive skin prone to allergies, please absolutely avoid using this. I rarely write reviews, but I don't want others to waste money and suffer like I did. - al******Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 29, 2021
A delightfully nutty and smooth scent with a luxurious aroma! The hydration power is truly exceptional. It gives you a feeling of total body relaxation. After checking the Hwahae app, I found the ingredients list a bit disappointing. Due to the container design, it's more cumbersome to use compared to pump-style body products. As this product has a noticeable oil feel, I found it worked well for full-body application and massage. - po****Combination SkinAcne SkinJul 10, 2021
Well, I'd say the scent is a bit more soothing than Camellia, and it lasts longer. The price is high, but it doesn't spread easily, so it takes a while to apply all over the body. I'll have to mix it with oil to use it. While the ingredients aren't particularly impressive, I bought it because I heard the fragrance was nice. However, I probably won't repurchase. It seems to make my skin feel a bit irritated. It could be because I have super sensitive skin, but I don't experience this with my usual products, so I'll likely go back to those. My skin doesn't feel comfortable. The scent is a matter of personal preference, so it's hard to criticize, but overall it feels artificial. It's difficult to spread evenly. - mi******Dry SkinRecommendedApr 27, 2021
The fragrance is absolutely delightful, and the hydration is quite satisfactory. I wish they'd release a hand emulsion or perfume with this scent - it's truly addictive! After showering and getting dressed, the subtle lingering aroma is simply divine. While it's a bit inconvenient to scoop out the product due to its cream consistency, that's to be expected with this type of formulation. I use this in combination with an oil because my skin is extremely dry. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 9, 2021
I used to only use Japanese Camellia oil, but I love this one too for its pleasant scent and great hydration. I even bought two bottles! I also used it as a substitute for stretch mark cream during my pregnancy. While the fragrance is lovely, using it every single day got a bit monotonous. I ended up alternating it with other products to keep things interesting. - s_*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 1, 2021
Unlike my face, my body has super dry skin. At first, I was worried the cream might be too thick and not absorb well, but it actually has great absorption and applies smoothly! Above all, I love the fragrance, and its lasting power is pretty good too. It becomes stiff when kept in a cold place! The wide opening and lack of a spatula make me a bit concerned about hygiene. If you feel like it's not hydrating enough, try mixing it with a bit of oil. It works great that way! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJan 19, 2021
As someone with extremely dry skin, this was recommended to me at a shop. During the dry weather of spring, fall, and winter, my whole body would get itchy, and I used to struggle applying body emulsion three or four times repeatedly. But with this, applying once or twice is enough to keep my skin comfortable for a long time. While it's not without a rich texture, it absorbs well into the skin. I bought this without properly checking the ingredients, but it contains potential allergens. Those with super sensitive skin should avoid using it. Use it with a spatula for best results. - po******Combination SkinRecommendedJan 11, 2021
The hydration is excellent. It's quite rich but spreads easily. It's not as thick as Japanese creams though. The scent... it's subtle and pleasant... it reminds me of the cucumber mask they prepare for you at the sauna when you're lying down with your eyes closed, waiting for a body scrub. It's like the cucumber scent you smell in a steam-filled room, not the kind you get from a home cucumber mask. It's a relaxing fragrance. The kind of scent that makes you feel sleepy... With The Body Shop products, I usually choose based on fragrance rather than hydration or other factors, so this one didn't make me feel like I absolutely had to buy it again.
