Insane cleansing effectiveness... I can't believe a soap could be better than cleansing water! If only they could remove the shea butter and coconut oil from the ingredients... that would be perfect. - sm****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 19, 2020
As someone with extremely oily skin, I was really impressed with how refreshingly this cleanses without leaving my skin feeling tight afterwards. I often avoid using low pH cleansing foams because they seem less effective and can lead to blemishes, while some cleansers leave my skin feeling uncomfortably dry. This soap strikes the perfect balance! It seems like it might not last long if you don't take special care of it. You need to make sure you keep it dry after use to maintain its condition. - sy*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 12, 2020
I tried a sample from the brand Benton and even received a coupon for their soap, so I decided to purchase it. What I love most about Benton is that they're cruelty-free. I've been really interested in animal testing lately and have been exclusively using brands that don't test on animals. Knowing Benton is cruelty-free made me trust them more, and after trying the sample, I wanted to explore more of their products. I particularly loved their foam cleanser, which is why I decided to try their soap too. The soap comes with a mesh for easy lathering, and it's great that you can use it for both face and body. It really feels like an environmentally conscious brand, and I realized how it helps reduce plastic usage. I've learned so much from this experience! Using the soap, I found it to be gentle and cleansing without any irritation. What touched me the most was that they included samples and even a Pepero snack with the delivery, which is why I'm leaving this review. I'll definitely be using more products from this brand in the future. Thank you! There's absolutely nothing bad to say... I bought it for just 100 won... And to think it has such great ingredients! I'll use it gratefully. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 13, 2020
I've always been a fan of Benton products and have tried almost all of them, but I've avoided their cleansing products because they weren't low pH. I thought, 'If it doesn't suit my skin, I'll just toss it,' and bought this on a whim during a sale. The verdict? I absolutely love it. It had been a while since I'd used a bar soap, and maybe because I had low expectations, I was really impressed with how it felt. While it's not a low pH soap, it's high in oils, so it doesn't dry out my skin. It cleanses thoroughly yet leaves my skin feeling moisturized. There's no white residue or dead skin cells flaking off after washing. It reminds me of the B.LAB Matcha Cleansing, which I love for its refreshing yet hydrating feel. I'm alternating it with my low pH cleanser. The foam net that comes with it is fantastic too. Being double-layered, it creates a rich lather. Since I don't have blemish-prone skin, I didn't experience any breakouts or worsening of my complexion, but individual results may vary. Like many others might do, I cut the soap and put it in the provided soap net. This helps create a better lather and seems to make the product last longer. I bought it for around $4-5 during a sale, and I'm tempted to stock up when it goes on sale again. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 21, 2020
The best part was how moisturizing it is and that it doesn't contain any concerning ingredients! I love how it cleanses so thoroughly too. I usually wear light makeup, and this removes it all perfectly. It's great that it comes with a soap dish, allowing you to use every last bit of the soap. I really liked it! There's nothing to complain about since it didn't cause any blemishes. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 18, 2020
I appreciate that they highlight the full ingredient list. It's a gentle soap free from alcohol, PEG, and silicone, making it non-irritating. I'd recommend this to those with super sensitive skin. The soap itself has a slightly sweet scent, which is pleasant during cleansing. It definitely feels more moisturizing than regular soap. My rough hands feel less tight even without hand cream. It also removes makeup quickly and thoroughly. My mother tried it and likes it too. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a mild soap. However, be cautious if you're sensitive to natural ingredients, seed oils, shea butter, or centella asiatica. Make sure to rinse thoroughly to avoid residue. Also, the scent is similar to a mild laundry soap. - a_*****Oily SkinRecommendedJun 19, 2019
☆☆A product I've repurchased more than 3 times☆☆ 1. Excellent cleansing effectiveness I have extremely oily skin, and before using this product, when I wiped my face with toner on a cotton pad after cleansing, a lot would come off. But after using this product, there's much less residue on the cotton pad. 2. Blemish reduction This might vary from person to person, but before using this, I had some adult acne. After using this product, I no longer get blemishes on my face (except for a few small pimples when I'm tired). +As I've been using this product for a long time, I can't quite remember what other changes it's made to my skin besides improving blemishes. However, even when I try other cleansers, I always come back to this one because it works so well. There's nothing particularly bad for me. I remember seeing some reviews on Hwahae about the scent, but since I only dislike artificial and overly sweet fragrances, this soap's scent doesn't bother me. It actually feels quite natural. Many people say the soap softens easily and doesn't last long, but if you attach a hanger to your mirror and hang the soap in a soap net, it won't soften and will last longer. I only use it for face washing morning and night, not for my body, and one bar lasted me a little over 6 months. - to********Combination SkinRecommendedApr 25, 2019
It really leaves your skin squeaky clean! I've been using it consistently during summer when my sebum production is high. It's gentle enough for both face and body use. I've gone through three bars since last summer without any blemishes. It can be a bit drying in fall and winter, so it's best used when you have slightly oily skin or want that super clean finish. The price is the biggest drawback, so it's wise to stock up during sales. I stuck an adhesive hook in my bathroom to hang the soap, which keeps it from getting soggy and makes it more convenient to use. - tt******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 22, 2019
I feel reassured by the safe ingredients. The rich and gentle lather is wonderful. It's also great that my skin feels less dry after cleansing. I'm happy to use a safe product discovered through Hwahae. Well, the scent is quite similar to homemade laundry soap. However, I much prefer this to artificial chemical fragrances. Being a natural soap, it definitely softens easily, so I only use it at home as it might not be practical to take to the swimming pool. - nh******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 1, 2019
The scent wasn't particularly pleasant, reminiscent of old-fashioned soap. However, I loved how soft my face felt after using it. It dissolves quickly, so I went through it faster than I'd like. While the fragrance is a bit disappointing, it's not terrible either.
