I've tried all sorts of cushion foundations, not sparing any expense, but nothing comes close to the Estée Lauder cushion. It applies thinly yet has excellent coverage, and the finish is beautifully seamless without caking. The lasting power and coverage are both excellent👍 Plus, when I set it with a finishing spray, it barely transfers onto my mask. Whenever people compliment my skin and ask what cushion I'm using, I always recommend this one👍
ConsIt seems they've recently reformulated it... No matter how hard I try, I can't find it anywhere.. If I had known, I would have stocked up on at least 10 of them... Usually, when a product is reformulated, it's not as good as the original, so I really hope they just keep selling the old version.. Even if it's close to expiry, I'd be grateful if someone could sell me a refill at a discounted price ㅠㅜ
TipUsing the Estée Lauder cushion is a makeup hack in itself👍

I was using the original shade of the Double Wear foundation, and the color difference was almost negligible! The cushion was just slightly darker. 2. As expected, the Double Wear has amazing coverage. I have a tendency for facial redness, but after just a light touch, it seemed to cover about 90% of the redness. :) 3. This powdery, soft feeling😭😭😭❤️ I'm the kind of person who absolutely can't stand sticky makeup, so I usually have to use powder on top of foundation, but this cushion hardly had any transfer at all! (There's almost no transfer onto the mask!) 4. The cushion case design is so beautiful 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I had lost this cushion before, and even then I thought the design was really well-done. It's an extremely chic design!
Cons1. This may not apply to me, but for those with dry skin, it might be a bit difficult to use! It's quite matte and powdery, so your face might feel a bit tight. 2. The finish sets quite quickly, so if you try to spread it out after already applying it to your face, it won't blend as smoothly. But for me, I just apply it step-by-step to my cheeks, chin, and forehead, so I didn't have any issues with that.

Adherence When applied thinly, there was no transfer except for the area touching the nose. Even after layering sunscreen and tone-up cream, it did not feel heavy. Of course, when applied alone, it felt so light that I wondered if I had applied it properly. Although my makeup gets a little heavier, this product felt comfortable even with the tone-up cream on top. 2. Graceful Fading Rather than being fixed in place, it faded naturally. Other products tend to get patchy and clump up, but this one just softens overall, and the oiliness is maintained like the original glow. 3. Glowy yet Velvety This was an advantage I felt right away. I've tried many "moisturizing" products, but they had a slippery sheen on the surface while feeling heavy and thick. This product doesn't have much of a sheen on the surface, but there's no tightness. (Based on when I just used toner and lotion in the spring.) I wrote that the surface is velvety, but it's closer to silky than powdery. As mentioned in the second point, when it fades a bit over time, it controls the oiliness well without being excessive. However, dry-skinned people may find it drying to use in the winter. Please note that I used it in the spring as a combination-skinned person. 4. No Accentuation of Flakes Similar to the third point, but I listed it separately because the nose flakes that usually pop up during the seasonal changes did not stand out. It's not that there are no flakes at all, but the caking is minimal, so you won't notice them unless you look closely. 5. Natural Glow It's not oily, but it expresses a natural glow. 6. Natural Color The color I used, 21, didn't differ much from my skin tone, which I liked. I think the fading effect mentioned in the second point was maximized because the color matched well. Since there are various color options, it should be easy to find a suitable one.
ConsThe advantages are overwhelmingly positive, so I personally don't think the drawbacks are a major issue, but it may vary depending on individual preferences. 1. Coverage This product only has a moderate level of coverage suitable for daily makeup. If you only want tone-up and skin smoothing, you can use it alone, but I have a lot of blemishes, so I applied concealer on top. 2. Price Before using it, I thought the price was outrageous and didn't even look at it, but I was selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer and got to use it, which made my expectations too high... I'm truly grateful and resentful towards the Hwahae staff. (Sorry for the late review ㅜㅜ)
TipJust lightly pump and apply it a couple of times, and it will take care of tone correction and skin smoothing. Add a little concealer on top, and it can cover most blemishes.

I used to be the kind of person who would break out and get caked on no matter what I put on my face, so I just stuck to wearing sunscreen bare-faced. But this product really, truly applies thinly and has great adhesion, so I've been able to start wearing makeup these days!!! The color also blends well with my skin, giving me a natural, effortless makeup look. The lasting power also seems good. I'm too lazy to even carry around makeup for touch-ups, but once I apply it in the morning and go out, it stays the same when I come back.
ConsThe downside would be that it's not a high-coverage product. Of course, since I was looking for something that applies thinly and evenly, this was actually an advantage for me, but the lightweight, thin application means the coverage is lacking. I'd recommend using a concealer along with it for those who need more coverage. Also, if you don't apply skin lotion etc. well after cleansing and just use this product, it can get incredibly drying...yikes Due to the great adhesion, it's drier compared to other products. If you apply a good skincare base and then do your makeup, it shouldn't be an issue^^ Oh, and the amount is a bit small ㅠㅠ This fact is why I took off one star... At this price, this amount is just evil

It's not a runny consistency, but rather dense and hydrating. Judging by how thinly and adherently it applies, the puff seems quite good. The color is quite yellow-toned, similar to the Espoir cushions. As someone who personally enjoys the luminous look of yellow-based shades, I found the color to be very pretty. The skin expression is sophisticated. If you don't have particular skin concerns and prefer a dewy skin finish, you'll likely enjoy this. Even when layering the coverage meticulously, it doesn't cake or feel heavy, and applies in a thin layer.
ConsI expected the 'double wear' claim to mean decent coverage, but there's hardly any coverage at all. Despite the very yellow base, it doesn't conceal redness at all. When I applied the cushion over some acne, it just made the inflamed blemishes look more dewy and obvious. I tried layering it a few times, but it just made the acne look even more shiny and prominent. I ended up not using it further because it just didn't work for me.
TipSince it lacks any coverage for redness and blemishes, I'd only recommend this if you have naturally very clear skin and just want to enhance a healthy glow.

I have been using the product daily for a week after receiving it. My skin type is... currently combination dry (20s oily, 30s dehydrated oily, now dehydrated combination). The color is 22 (21 is too light, 23 is too dark). I lightly dipped the puff into the product and applied it in thin, multiple layers, and it blended seamlessly into my skin, evening out my complexion and adding a subtle glow. I had previously tried the brand's Double Wear foundation, which seemed to set matte quickly, cling to dry patches, and was difficult to apply evenly. The Double Wear Cushion seems to have improved on the application and wear. With the pandemic and wearing masks, my previous cushion products would transfer and wear off on the mask area, so I've been using more sunscreen and tone-up creams. This product, however, maintains a nice skin-like finish even with mask-wearing. There is some mask transfer and the area under the mask can get congested if it's very humid. But in non-humid conditions, it can be touched up with powder. I used to wear warmer-toned 22-23 shades before the pandemic, as I spent more time indoors and my skin didn't tan as much. The current color matches my skin tone well after a few thin layers.
ConsIt seems like a really nice product that I would consider repurchasing, but the fact that it's made in Japan is concerning. While I don't want to completely boycott Japanese products, the radiation issues have made me wary of using many Japanese-made items. I discovered this while checking the brand's website to write a review.
TipWhen I first applied a heavy amount, the coverage was good, but it looked very obvious that I was wearing makeup. It also tended to cling and separate, especially around the mask area. I would recommend applying it in thin, multiple layers instead. This gives a more natural, seamless finish.

Cushion products often have difficulty controlling the amount, but this cushion doesn't pick up a lot of product at once, so I could apply it thinly. Applying it thinly gave good adherence without looking thick and heavy. As you can see in the photo, the redness coverage is really good, and even small and faint blemishes are somewhat concealed. Above all, it has a very pretty glow because it's so moisturizing. My cheeks and forehead are extremely dry, and makeup usually cakes or cracks, but this product didn't have that problem. In fact, it was moisturizing enough that I could even use powder on top.
ConsThe most disappointing aspect is the color. Since my skin is fair, I use a lighter shade than 21. As shown in the swatch on my wrist, this product is slightly darker and has more of a yellow tone than my skin (even though I have a very yellow warm-toned complexion, the foundation looks more yellow). Although the photo looks brighter due to the lighting and angle, in reality it looks very dark on my face. It doesn't give a brightening effect, and over time my face looks even darker.
TipI think the best skin expression is to apply the cushion thinly and use a concealer for any remaining uncovered blemishes. If you have fair skin, I would recommend using the porcelain shade! In my case, it's too dark to use on its own, so I have to mix it with another lighter foundation.

ConsIt didn't seem to suit my extremely sensitive skin, as I developed small pimple-like bumps the very next day after using it. :(
TipThose with very sensitive skin should avoid this... :(

ConsThe coverage is less than expected. It cakes up. The refill just stays the same.

I used to wear a thick foundation because of the coverage, but now I want to try something lighter. This foundation has a thin, lightweight formula. If I apply it a few more times, it can cover the blemishes. Switching to a different puff to apply it might make it look even better.
ConsIt seems really difficult to apply. For people who don't do their skincare well, it will end up cracking, emphasizing pores and wrinkles, and won't improve even after touch-ups. The more you apply, the thicker it gets, and the areas you try to correct don't improve at all. It was really disappointing. I probably won't use it again.
TipTry switching to a different cushion foundation. Establish a solid skincare routine. For people like me who are lazy about skincare, it might be better not to use it at all.
