I've been struggling with chronic seborrheic dermatitis for a long time. I tried the Polygen Original shampoo and then the Phyto Therapy shampoo. The formula is similar to a mild detergent, and it's transparent. The scent comes from lemon peel oil, orange peel oil, and eucalyptus oil, so it has a refreshing and herbal aroma, similar to the scent of a green bamboo candle. The scent is better than the Polygen. Natural shampoos tend to have less lather, but this product has surprisingly good foaming action, which I like. I need to wash my hair twice because of the oiliness, but it's gentle and effective. Another advantage over Polygen is that this shampoo leaves my hair softer. It seems to calm scalp inflammation better than regular shampoos, but the effect is not dramatic. The scent is just okay compared to the red color. While the hair is a bit damaged, using just this shampoo alone keeps it from feeling too stiff, which I like. I have a bit of seborrheic dermatitis, but it has improved a lot since using this product.
