The volume is a great value at around 120ml.
ConsIf you apply too much, it pills like dead skin cells. This is especially noticeable when used with sunscreen or BB cream, making it look more like flaky skin or grime.
TipTry storing it in the fridge for a cool application.

I could really see how it calmed my skin.
ConsThere's not much to complain about, but if I had to nitpick, it seems to cause some pilling when applied before makeup.
TipNo additional comments.

It's a gel, but more like a jelly-gel if that makes sense? It's not a runny gel consistency.
ConsI'm done with drugstore skincare from now on. The Etude Collagen line really didn't work for me, so I swore off Etude products. But then I tried the Soon Jung line because Hwahae showed it had zero harmful ingredients. Big mistake - my skin completely flared up. I broke out in red, swollen bumps like mosquito bites, and got all these blemishes... I barely got it under control at the dermatologist, but it's flaring up again. And it pills like crazy. It might be due to dead skin cells, but I exfoliate regularly. I don't think it's that - it seems to be the product's formulation. It pills on my body and hands too, like dead skin coming off... I don't know what skincare to buy anymore. I think I'll just stick to the pricier Dokdo products.
TipIf you have super sensitive skin like me, don't just buy something because it claims to have zero harmful ingredients. Get a sample from the store first and test it on your jaw or cheek before deciding. Don't let your skin get irritated like mine did!

Etude, please don't discontinue it! I love the Soon Jung line and use almost everything from it, but this is my absolute favorite! I've gone through more than 8 bottles, honestly... (It's such a shame I can't prove it because I threw away the empty ones, but I still have one empty, one in use, and one new one at home... I plan to buy more when I finish these.) Among all the cosmetics I've used so far, this is the gentlest and best. If you can't use aloe gel because it's sticky and dries out your skin, try this instead. In summer, you can use this alone, and depending on your skin condition, mixing it with an ampoule is amazing. I have dry, sensitive skin that's prone to irritation, but this product is truly gentle, so I highly recommend it for those with sensitive skin.
ConsThere's no real downside, but it might pill if applied before makeup...? However, when I mix it with my toner and the Soon Jung gel, it becomes watery and doesn't pill even when applied before makeup! If you apply this alone in large amounts, it can pill. There are no drawbacks to the product itself.
TipFor those with dry and sensitive skin, mix this Etude Soon Jung gel with a hydrating ampoule or functional ampoule and apply! When I was treating folliculitis, I only applied this and never had any skin irritation! For reference, I use Etude Soon Jung gel + Sidmool Panthenol Ampoule + Propolis Ampoule + Azulene Ampoule. I adjust the combination or switch products depending on my skin's condition each day!

When applied to sensitive summer skin, it soothes and can be used without any issues. Although it's a gel, it feels like water when you apply it. I loved that there was no sticky feeling after application.
ConsI'm a fan of hydrating gels, but this product pills, so I can't use it before makeup. As a result, I don't reach for it often...
TipIt's great to apply generously on skin that's become sensitive due to temperature changes in the hot summer.

Used it for 3 months Purchased with my own money 1. Great for calming skin after popping pimples or as a soothing mask for blemishes. 2. If you apply a thin layer, it doesn't pill and works well for oily skin. Feels refreshing. 3. It's cooling... seems to bring down skin temperature for a while. Perfect for summer use. 4. The ingredients are good. 5. When it's on sale, the price is reasonable, making it great for frequent use!
Cons1. If you apply too much, it pills like dead skin cells. 2. Not sure if it's a container issue or formula problem, but it's hard to get out. It also gets messy around the container opening. 3. If you apply a small amount, it feels dry and like you've applied egg whites. It's difficult to apply a lot, which is a drawback. Why? Because it runs like water.
TipIt's okay to buy when it's on sale because the price is cheap, but I don't like using it because it pills like dead skin cells if you apply too much. There are many other good gels out there, so try something else. I recommend this if you want to exfoliate your face with a cheap product.

Being a hydrating gel, it feels cool and refreshing when applied, giving a soothing sensation to the skin.
ConsOccasionally, when I apply too much, it seems to pill on my face, possibly due to the high moisture content. This is just my personal experience, so it may vary depending on your skin type.

It also seems to cause fewer blemishes...
ConsI feel it's not enough to rely on this product alone for hydration during winter. After just 3 hours, my face feels tight. When I apply sunscreen, it gets dry, and if I try to layer more on top, it pills like dead skin cells.

The tube packaging makes it easy to use without any mess.
ConsMy skin reacted badly after using this. I was shocked to see blemishes appear even in areas where I don't usually get them. When I applied it generously at night, it felt uncomfortable and pilled like dead skin cells. It's as if it creates a film on your face. If you apply makeup over this, everything just pills up.
TipRecommended for those who want a hydrating gel but are allergic to aloe vera. (The ingredients are generally okay, but I might be overly sensitive.) It's great to apply generously after getting sunburned on vacation.

As soon as you squeeze it out and rub it in... I chose it because of the good ingredients and lack of fragrance.
ConsIt pills terribly. It's not like a soothing gel at all, more like a peeling mask. No matter where or when I apply it, it always pills. I thought I might have a lot of dead skin cells, so I exfoliated, but it kept happening. Just to be sure, I stopped using only this product, and the pilling stopped. Compared to other brands' soothing gels, it's more expensive (even if just by a few dollars) and much worse. It doesn't absorb well either. For a soothing gel, it's surprisingly sticky. Maybe that's why it pills... Every morning when I'm busy, it keeps pilling, so I have to wash my face again and apply something else. I ended up only using it at night and just emulsion in the morning, but it still pills. It seems like this product is actually creating dead skin cells.
TipIt's just... not great, unfortunately. I bought it because of the good ingredients, but it's so disappointing that I can't use it on my face and I'm just slathering it on my body. It could work as a hand cream, especially since you need to wash your hands often and it's annoying to use greasy hand creams in summer. But even on just the hands, as in the photo, it pills terribly. Definitely not recommended!
