Used it for 3 months Purchased with my own money 1. Great for calming skin after popping pimples or as a soothing mask for blemishes. 2. If you apply a thin layer, it doesn't pill and works well for oily skin. Feels refreshing. 3. It's cooling... seems to bring down skin temperature for a while. Perfect for summer use. 4. The ingredients are good. 5. When it's on sale, the price is reasonable, making it great for frequent use!
Cons1. If you apply too much, it pills like dead skin cells. 2. Not sure if it's a container issue or formula problem, but it's hard to get out. It also gets messy around the container opening. 3. If you apply a small amount, it feels dry and like you've applied egg whites. It's difficult to apply a lot, which is a drawback. Why? Because it runs like water.
TipIt's okay to buy when it's on sale because the price is cheap, but I don't like using it because it pills like dead skin cells if you apply too much. There are many other good gels out there, so try something else. I recommend this if you want to exfoliate your face with a cheap product.

ConsIt's quite runny, so it can drip if you're not careful. The amount you get is a bit disappointing too.

Since I'm allergic to aloe, I tried this product instead. I apply a generous grape-sized amount of gel, gently massage it in until about half is absorbed, then follow with a pea-sized amount of a rich cream, massaging again lightly. Any excess oil is gently blotted away with a tissue. This method eliminates redness, banishes deep dryness, and gives a beautiful glow. There's no stickiness, and makeup applies smoothly with improved longevity. You must try it! Since it doesn't contain dimethicone, you don't have to worry about your makeup pilling. When you're on the verge of a breakout, this routine can calm your skin overnight. Even if you apply a rich cream that usually causes blemishes, you won't break out. It seems to balance the oil and moisture levels perfectly.
ConsThe downside is that following this method, the product runs out in less than a month. I wish they'd offer a larger size. A major drawback is the container's opening - it's too large, causing the product to gush out and making the nozzle messy. I hope they improve the packaging design.
TipBuy it when it's on sale. This tends to be a less popular item in the Pure line, so it often appears in hot deals.

Let me tell you, my skin was initially like a volcanic rock - so rough! It wasn't particularly oily, but my face was dry, sensitive, and my oil-moisture balance was completely off. I happened to receive two samples when I bought a cushion from Etude - one was the Cica Balm and the other was a moisturizing cream. Honestly, I had zero expectations. But when I tried the moisturizer, I was pleasantly surprised. Then, when I applied the Cica Balm, I knew I had to buy it! I ended up purchasing six items during a 2+1 sale, including two each of the Cica Balm and Soothing Gel. The texture of the Soothing Gel is like a transparent, wobbly egg custard (which I personally love, but it might not be for everyone). I was a bit worried about buying two Soothing Gels, but after cleansing my face and applying it - wow! It even calmed my redness a bit. I went to sleep thinking I'd made a great purchase. As a teenager with combination skin that gets dry during seasonal changes, and dealing with dehydrated, sensitive, acne-prone skin - this product seems tailor-made for all these conditions. It's the first product that's worked so well for me. It's also fragrance-free, making it suitable for those with sensitivities. I highly recommend this product for anyone with thin, sensitive skin that gets dry during seasonal changes, has redness, and even acne-prone skin. Everyone, give the Soon Jung line a try!
ConsWhen I first used this product, it felt so hydrating that I thought I wouldn't need to apply anything else afterward. However, once it fully absorbs, you might need to layer another product on top (unless you have oily skin, in which case it might be perfect on its own). While I liked the gel-type texture, those who dislike this wobbly consistency might want to avoid it. Also, be careful when squeezing the tube - it's easy to dispense too much product, making it a bit tricky to control the amount.
TipDon't squeeze out too much at once! Even a small amount provides great hydration. While it applies moistly, it doesn't leave an oily residue. If you find that the Soon Jung Soothing Gel works well for your skin, I recommend layering other Soon Jung basic skincare products on top for best results!

True to the Soon Jung line, it has great ingredients. That's about it.
ConsWhile it's a gel, it lacks that satisfying bouncy texture. Instead, it collapses and becomes runny, making application less than ideal. I probably won't buy this gel again as there are so many other competitive and diverse gel options out there.

I bought this in a hurry just based on the ingredients, but it's so much better than Graymelin!
ConsThe runny texture makes it difficult to control the amount. Because of this, it seems to run out much faster than Graymelin. I wish they would release a larger size.
TipFor an enhanced soothing effect, try storing it in the refrigerator before use.
