Although I don't wear makeup often, I always make sure to apply sunscreen. I hadn't been using stick-type sunscreens because they're not very visible when applied and it's hard to check if you've applied them thoroughly. However, I got to try the Sandawha Sun Stick through The Hwahae Testers program. It's really convenient for reapplication on the go! The size fits perfectly in one hand, making it easy to slip into even small bags. I guess this could be an advantage for most stick-type products. I have dry skin but no major skin issues, just the occasional blemish every couple of months. Even though some 'clean' cosmetics can cause reactions, I've been using the Sandawha Sun Stick daily since receiving it without any skin problems. My sister has combination/sensitive skin that reacts quickly to most products, but aside from mentioning it feels a bit sticky, she didn't have any adverse reactions. It's a mineral sunscreen, which is great because there's no white cast... though that's also a bit concerning. I thought a slight white cast would be good to see where it's applied, but there's barely any at all. I double-checked the product details because I couldn't believe it was actually a mineral sunscreen! I also like the plastic dome-shaped protective cover in the cap. My sister used a sun stick from another brand that required pushing the stick all the way down to close the cap, which was inconvenient. This product has a protective cover that works even if the stick isn't fully retracted, which is great. With SPF50 PA++++ and waterproof function, it's reassuring. I think it would hold up well even after 30 minutes of outdoor exercise, though it's too hot for outdoor running these days, unfortunately.
ConsFirst off, the scent is like a natural lip balm. I never paid much attention to cosmetic fragrances before, and I didn't understand why they'd add artificial scents to skincare products. But when I opened this product, the scent hit me, and I thought, 'Oh, so this is why fragrance matters...' Fortunately, the scent doesn't linger on your face after application. Even my sister, who has a sensitive nose, didn't react much after the initial surprise when opening the cap. When applied to the face, it feels thick and sticky. Maybe it's due to the beeswax or the waterproof formula, but it doesn't apply thinly. It's not like an oil explosion, more like an oil film or a thick layer covering your skin. Even with my dry skin, I thought it might be a bit much for summer use. It could be a major advantage when the weather cools down a bit. My sister with combination/sensitive skin tried it once and said it was too sticky for her to use. She's wary because her sensitive skin tends to react badly to even slightly rich products.
