Note: Please keep in mind that everyone's skin type is different. This is my personal experience. I purchased sunsticks from various brands and will compare them in this review. (Sunsticks used: Sandawha, IOPE, Mamonde) Application: Sandawha > IOPE > Mamonde Sandawha had the best application. It wasn't too stiff, so it applied smoothly without irritating the skin. If applying over makeup, Sandawha would likely cause the least pilling. The other products had very matte formulas that might cause more makeup disruption. However, for body use, Mamonde had the best application. (A medium texture, neither too matte nor too soft) White Cast: None of the three products left a white cast. What I appreciated most about Sandawha was the absence of white cast. It blended naturally with my skin tone. Blemishes: IOPE > Mamonde, Sandawha Usually, sunscreen alone would cause blemishes. Especially with IOPE, my face reacted badly after just one day of use. Sandawha didn't cause any skin reactions after application. Scent: I don't mind using products with scents unless they're overpowering. Most scents dissipate after application anyway. Sandawha's suncare had no strong scent at all. After using the sunstick and applying my regular skincare products, the sunstick's scent was no longer noticeable.
ConsOiliness: Sandawha > Mamonde > IOPE The only drawback of Sandawha is its oiliness. The other products were matte enough to use on the body without feeling greasy. However, while Sandawha applies well, its oiliness made it uncomfortable to use on the body. With the current hot weather causing more sweat, the added oiliness made it feel uncomfortable throughout wear. It's probably best to use this only on the face. I've included a photo showing the oiliness. I checked the oil level using blotting paper after applying the sunstick.
TipPro Tip: I have dry skin but dislike oiliness in sunscreens. Although I have dry skin, I prefer to address dryness with hydration and minimize oil, due to my blemish-prone skin. Sandawha's sun care was the most satisfactory sunstick I've used because it didn't cause blemishes. However, due to its oiliness, it attracted dust to my face and caused makeup to break down quickly... So, here's what I do: After applying basic skincare + Sandawha sunstick, I let my face air-dry for about 10 minutes. Then, I use blotting paper to absorb excess oil from the sunstick. When I apply makeup after this, it goes on smoothly without oiliness, and my makeup lasts longer too.
