When I applied it to the back of my hand at Daiso, it felt incredibly moisturizing! While it absorbed well on my hands without any stickiness, it doesn't seem to absorb as easily on my face. - 35***Dry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedSep 30, 2019
1. Affordable price point 2. Good ingredients for the cost (gentle formula) 3. No blemishes for super sensitive, extremely dry skin 4. Balanced oil and moisture content Honestly, I had zero expectations when I stumbled upon this while shopping at Daiso. The ingredients looked decent and the texture seemed rich, so I decided to give it a try. My skin usually breaks out immediately, but this didn't cause any issues, which is great. I've tried quite a few high-end products that couldn't even prevent those tiny bumps. For just 5000 won, the ingredients and quantity are both satisfactory. It seems perfect for fall and winter use. The texture is somewhere between a balm and a hydrating cream. The scent is just... fruity? Kind of ambiguous, haha. I think I'll use it well in winter. Just remember to use a small amount, as it can feel a bit rich on the skin. If there's a downside, it's that two ingredients aren't great, but since I'm not experiencing any blemishes, I'll let it slide. The packaging is like an ointment tube, so there's a risk of metal particles falling in. The fragrance is also not the best. Because it's on the richer side, using too much can lead to acne. I recommend mixing it with your regular moisturizer when applying. - da****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessMar 14, 2019
First off, it's affordable. The absorption isn't bad, and it forms a good barrier that seems to lock in hydration well. After application, it definitely leaves the skin feeling moisturized. It should work well on extremely dry areas. While absorption isn't lightning-fast, it's not bad either. True to its name, it definitely delivers on moisturizing and strengthening the skin barrier. It's a bit heavy and has an oily feel, so those with oily skin should probably avoid it. More importantly, it contains pore-clogging ingredients and PEGs. It might be suitable for extremely dry skin types. As someone with sensitive combination skin (combination dehydrated + dry), I sometimes experience a slight tingling allergic reaction. Reactions can vary, so you'd need to try it, but it's hard to test beforehand since Daiso doesn't offer many cosmetic samples. The tube is made of aluminum. As you use it, it can tear or the outer paint can chip off... There's a risk of injuring your hands. They urgently need to change the tube material. Perhaps due to the added fragrance, the scent is quite strong. I apply just a tiny amount on dry areas, and use an appropriate amount on areas that need moisture to prevent flaking or cracking (fingertips, soles, calves...). When applying mineral sunscreen, I put a very small amount on dry areas (cheeks) before the sunscreen, and it prevents my skin from feeling tight. - bj*******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 15, 2019
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I've tried Isoi moisturizer in fall and winter, but still stressed over deep dryness. However, using this over my moisturizer solved the problem! It's incredibly hydrating! While it's a moisturizing product and has a rich feel, it's not bothersome. It might be fine for dry skin, but for combination dehydrated skin like mine, the rich texture means it's best avoided in humid spring and summer. If you dislike rich textures, try applying a small amount thinly over a non-greasy moisturizer. This should significantly reduce any slippery feeling. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 18, 2019
I loved how rich and deeply moisturizing it felt when applied When I apply it at night and wash my face in the morning, it doesn't feel like the product has been absorbed. Instead, it's as if it forms a coating that just sits on the skin and washes off - kj*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 16, 2018
Even though I have some blemishes, this product wasn't bad at all. I didn't feel like it was too rich on my skin. Above all, I'm most impressed by the price and the amount you get! I used it well during summer, but now that it's getting colder, I don't think I can rely on this product alone, unfortunately. - jj********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 6, 2018
It's now October 2018, autumn with big temperature fluctuations and getting colder. I went to Daiso near Gyeongbokgung with a friend, and my hands were so chapped that I just applied anything... and wow! It was amazing. So I bought it. It was only 5000 won, and I thought, 'Well, you've got nothing to lose.' Before using this, my skin was suffering from tiny blemishes due to the changing seasons. I've been using this barrier cream for about 2-3 weeks now, and my skin has improved so much! I didn't find the texture heavy at all. When I apply it, my skin becomes much more hydrated and smooth, with no itching or blemishes! ♥ It absorbs quickly too! It's just about that time of the month when my skin usually acts up, but I'm sailing through smoothly~ I'm very satisfied!! I have sensitive skin and even products others find gentle often cause blemishes for me, but this is fantastic... I think I've found my holy grail cream. It's not summer yet, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to use it. I'll try it again in summer and update my review! 2018.11.21 - After using about half the product, I found a downside! The aluminum container scratches easily, causing white powder to fall off!! They urgently need to improve the packaging, maybe to a tube or something else. It's also hard to squeeze out the product... Everyone probably has a Daiso nearby... Go and test it out for yourself! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 4, 2018
It feels smooth when applied, like a soft coating on your skin. The amount is quite generous. It has a nostalgic feel, reminiscent of classic cosmetics. While it's a bit disappointing that it contains fragrances and surfactants, it's fine for everyday use.
