It's a perfect sweet and tangy lemon fragrance - There's absolutely nothing to complain about. A classic lip balm that's moisturizing and glides on smoothly. I've tried various brands, and this one's on par with Burt's Bees. Compared to other brands like Innisfree or Laneige, I prefer the organic, natural ingredient-based lip balms like Burt's Bees or this Dr. Bronner's. The aforementioned lip balms seemed to only moisturize the surface without addressing dead skin cells at the root, but this one has a subtle green tea/lemon scent that's lovely. The size is identical to Burt's Bees lip balm. At 5,520 won from Olive Young, it's a bit pricey for its value. Burt's Bees offers two for around 7,000 won... - gh****Combination SkinAcne SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedSep 24, 2024
The scent is not overwhelming, and the texture is just right - neither too soft nor too firm. The price is also reasonable. There's honestly nothing to complain about. It's my holy grail lip balm, and I keep repurchasing it. - rh*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 27, 2024
The ingredients in this product seem better compared to other lip balms. Unlike other lip balm products, this one is a bit pricey, which is disappointing. - so********Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedApr 25, 2024
Unlike other lip balms that felt heavy, this one has a refreshing lime scent that makes it feel light and comfortable on the lips. Compared to other lip balms, it seems to be slightly less moisturizing. - sm*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedOct 31, 2023
Though it looked like a solid formula, it melted incredibly smoothly on my lips when applied. After application, there's a nice oily glow on the lips. When touched, there's a slight slip that quickly disappears, which I liked because it meant no stickiness or yogurt-like residue. The hydration was also quite good. When you open the cap, a fresh scent wafts up, but it's not overpowering - just a subtle fragrance that doesn't really bother you. The small size of the lip balm made it a bit awkward to open the cap or twist the bottom. As I used it, the surface seemed to gradually soften. It worked better as a daytime touch-up balm rather than a night care product. - mo************Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 15, 2023
Hydration: The moisturizing power of this lip balm is incredible! While it may vary from person to person, I found that even after applying it before bed, there was still some left when I woke up. It keeps your lips so hydrated, and when you wake up, your lips feel incredibly smooth. Dead skin cells: Whenever my lips were flaky or in poor condition, I made sure to apply this before bed. The improvement by morning was remarkable. If you often suffer from chapped lips like me, I highly recommend this. Even though I only applied it before bed, not frequently throughout the day, the visible improvement was significant. Scent: It has a refreshing lemon scent that I really enjoyed! Ingredients: I've been using this for about a year and came rushing to write a Hwahae review because I loved it so much. However, upon checking the ingredients, I noticed there are quite a few potential allergens. The ingredient list is a bit disappointing. Itchiness: Sometimes when my lips are in really bad condition, I apply it not just on my lips but slightly over the lip line and around the mouth area before bed. Occasionally, this causes itching around the lips. I think this might be due to the numerous potential allergens in the ingredients, which is somewhat disappointing. I really urge everyone to apply a generous amount just once before going to bed... - gn*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessFeb 19, 2023
The fragrance is subtle and the container is lightweight, making it convenient to carry around. It's too rich in oils, causing it to smudge easily. Once the product comes out, it doesn't retract, so you have to push it back in manually. While it's marketed as a gentle lip care product, it's disappointing that it contains potential allergens. - pl**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedApr 7, 2022
First off... we all know Dr. Bronner's has great ingredients, right? I bought this lip balm knowing it's made with USDA certified organic base oils. The scent is a blend of lemon peel and lime essential oils, which is perfect for someone like me who sneezes at strong artificial fragrances. It's a slightly sweet lemon scent, more mellow than a sharp citrusy one, which I found really satisfying! Now, let's talk about hydration - it's a lip balm after all. If you're looking for that deep-fried lips effect, this might not be for you. It provides just the right amount of moisture to tackle dead skin cells. Personally, I prefer something richer in winter. If you use this product in colder months, you might find yourself applying it more frequently and generously. While I really love the scent, I'd still opt for a richer oil-based balm in winter. To be honest, I like everything about it, but putting myself in the shoes of those who might not, I'll reluctantly mention a few points: 1. Since it uses essential oils instead of artificial fragrances, the scent might not be to everyone's liking. 2. As I mentioned earlier, it won't give you that ultra-glossy, deep-fried look. 3. Oh, there is one thing that bothers me - the size. This tiny 4g amount is disappointing. It should be at least 7-8g to make it worth carrying around. I ended up buying two - one for home and one for my handbag. That's just how I roll! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 16, 2022
The hydration lasts longer compared to other products. It absorbs very smoothly when applied. It feels a bit thick when applied due to its ultra-smooth texture. While it's moisturizing thanks to its rich oil content, it tends to attract dust from scarves and such in winter.
