I've been using this consistently since last year. It's perfect, right in between an emulsion and a cream. The best part is that about 5 minutes after application, it absorbs beautifully into the skin. When I apply BB cream over it, it automatically creates that coveted Inner Glow complexion! There's a slight stinging sensation around the eyes, but if you're careful when applying it to the eye area, it's not a big concern. The only downside is that I wish the official import process was smoother. If you want to achieve that glowing complexion, Famona sunscreen is a must-have! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 27, 2020
As someone with dry skin, I've been searching for a moisturizing sunscreen even for winter, and Famona is exactly what I've been dreaming of! It gives that dewy glow that looks like a healthy oil sheen. For my dry skin, a bit of shine is actually a good thing! The glow is even more incredible in sunlight! Be careful not to apply it too close to your eyes, as it can sting and make them water. I noticed other Hwahae reviews mentioning the same issue. I can't believe I only just started using the Hwahae app - I wish I'd known about this ingredient sooner! On days when I can't resist that glow, I apply it to my cheeks and nose, avoiding the eye area. However, it does tend to pill a bit around the edges when applying makeup. When you want that expensive-looking glow with a bare face, apply it carefully to your cheeks, cheekbones, nose, and chin, avoiding the eye area. It gives you that 'I just woke up but my skin looks amazing' kind of radiance. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 24, 2019
It absorbs beautifully into the skin. Leaves your skin dewy and radiant. The pump dispenser makes it hygienic to use. It really stings my eyes, even when I avoid the eye area. The texture tends to pill slightly on the skin. Apply it to your body. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 9, 2019
It's so hydrating! Even for my extremely dry skin... It gives a glow without any white cast. The glow is really something else. It's beyond just moisturizing - it feels so slick with hydration that it's almost slippery. I highly recommend it for its hydrating power and dewy glow. It stings my eyes! I bought this from a group order where they said there was no eye irritation, even claiming you could apply it up to your tear ducts... But wow, the eye stinging is really intense. Everything else about it was great, but in the end, I'm searching through Hwahae for a replacement because of the eye irritation. Don't apply it around your eyes! And to be honest, it does pill a bit too. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJul 3, 2019
This sunscreen is incredibly hydrating and gives an amazing glow - it's a total game-changer! I've been using it exclusively for almost a year now. I highly recommend it to all you skincare nomads out there. I have combination dehydrated skin that's also super sensitive, so if it works for me, it'll likely work for most people! In some ways, it might be even better suited for those with dry skin, but I keep coming back to this product religiously. Whenever I see group buys, I'm always one of the first to stock up! The only slight downside is that it can cause a bit of eye irritation. Just be mindful of that when applying. As long as you avoid the eye area, you'll be fine. The product is so good overall that it's worth this minor inconvenience. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 23, 2019
I've always had itchy reactions to sunscreens, but since using this one, I've been able to apply it comfortably. However, it might feel a bit heavy during summer. You might find it slightly suffocating or heavy when used in the summer months. If you're aiming for a radiant makeup look, try applying the Bitoksel cushion after this sunscreen. Your complexion will have an absolutely dazzling glow! - le*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 9, 2019
Absorbs like an emulsion, not heavy at all - the application is fantastic. After applying, the glow is seriously no joke. It has a slight brightening effect too. It's relatively affordable when bought during group purchases. Although it claims to not cause eye irritation, some specific ingredients can cause stinging (I think this varies from person to person). Apart from the eye irritation, I really think this is great! While the eye stinging may vary between individuals, this is truly my holy grail product in every other aspect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 4, 2019
I love how moisturizing it is. I hate when my skin feels dry! Unlike other sunscreens, this one doesn't leave a white cast or make my skin feel parched. It stings my eyes a bit. I wanted to look into why, and sure enough... - ls*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMar 31, 2019
Famona Sunscreen 50ml, priced between 45000-55000 (varies by group buy). While the lowest online price is 23500, it's from overseas with 8000 shipping and long delivery times. Group buys are the way to go! Just be careful where you buy from. Originally sold as a regenerating cream in Europe, it's classified as sunscreen in Korea due to its SPF50+ (the highest protection). I used to hate the stickiness of sunscreens and how they made my hair cling to my face. I also disliked how some sunscreens, like those from certain brands, left my skin feeling dry and tight. I'd skip sunscreen altogether except for beach days, despite knowing its importance. My skin would get itchy and red with most sunscreens. Last June, I decided to give sunscreen another try and discovered Famona after extensive research. It's often called a 'dewy' sunscreen. It's so gentle that if I had received it as a gift labeled as a regenerating cream, I wouldn't have known it was sunscreen. There are no adverse effects on my face. Now I've developed a habit of applying sunscreen even for quick trips outside, and I can't use anything but Famona. It's especially great for those with frequent skin allergies, atopic dermatitis, or very sensitive skin that can't tolerate most products. It's said to have amazing regenerative ingredients. My makeup routine is simply Famona (on my 4th tube) followed by cushion foundation (also on my 3rd - I'll review my holy grail cushion later). This is perfect for those who couldn't find a suitable sunscreen before, hate the typical stickiness of sunscreens, or apply sunscreen daily. A 50ml tube lasts about 2 months with daily use. Note: Those with extremely oily skin might want to avoid this. May feel greasy for those with very oily skin. If you dislike moisturizing sunscreens, this might not be for you. Perfect for achieving a dewy makeup look! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 6, 2019
It absorbs well and the scent is pleasant. They call it a regenerating sunscreen, and while I'm not sure about the regeneration part, I suppose the ingredients are meant for that purpose. It really stings my eyes. At first, I thought it was due to air pollution, but when I switched to a different sunscreen, the stinging stopped. After reading other reviews, I'm even more convinced that this product is the cause of the eye irritation.
