It absorbs smoothly and despite being a pencil, it doesn't smudge at all. I wish the tip was a bit sharper to create a more defined wing at the outer corner of the eye. Since it doesn't create a sharp wing at the outer corner, it's best to use a different product for that part. - ch**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 15, 2024
I tried the Dejavu Short Brush Pen and was so satisfied that my expectations for the Dejavu eyeliner were high. Here's my review after using it: My eyelids are oily and tend to be puffy. I've used many pencil-type eyeliners, but this cylindrical shape is a first for me! Since I often experience smudging around my eyes, I tested it on the back of my hand and then on my eyes. It feels quite unique. 1. The application is truly cream-like (I'm actually a bit worried it might wear down quickly, haha). 2. It sets in 3 seconds, so no worries about smudging. (At first, I rubbed it with my fingers and tried to wipe it off with a wet wipe, which didn't work. But I was pleased to find it comes off easily with a cleansing tissue!) The waterproof feature is excellent! 3. I usually prefer thin pencils, so I'm not sure why there's a thick part. I haven't found any drawbacks yet. I'll update if I discover any in the future. - ri****Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 31, 2024
This cream pencil liner glides on incredibly smoothly. The color is a deep, rich brown without any redness, and it applies effortlessly. I had a work event where I was smiling all day, and it didn't smudge at all. The oval shape makes for quick and easy application. For reference, the top one is the Clio So Simple Liner (pearl brown) and the bottom is the Dejavu Cream Liner. It applies so smoothly that I'm concerned it might wear down quickly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 3, 2022
Holy grail!! The oval shape makes it super easy to apply and it doesn't smudge. It has great staying power, yet it's easy to remove. The color isn't too light brown, making it a perfect recommendation for warm skin tones. After prolonged use, it tends to harden a bit, making application more challenging. However, I think this is an unavoidable issue with this type of product. - li******Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 27, 2022
I tried a pencil liner after such a long time! It's a cream pencil liner and clearly labeled as waterproof, which was perfect for me since I only use waterproof products. The dark brown color complemented my black hair beautifully. Being a cream pencil type, it glided on smoothly and stayed put for ages thanks to its long-lasting formula - I absolutely loved that! It allowed me to create thin, precise lines that remained vivid without needing touch-ups. The result? A more defined eye shape that really made my eyes pop! Just follow your lash line and slightly flick it up at the end for a simple yet striking eye makeup look. If I had to nitpick, the pencil tip can break if you apply too much pressure. But honestly, that's the only downside. Otherwise, it's fantastic! No panda eyes either, which is a huge plus! Just glide it gently along your lash line for a thin, effortless application. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 22, 2022
It's softer than expected, but if you use it with short strokes, you shouldn't worry about it breaking. Plus, it can draw very thin lines, and the thickness seems to vary depending on how much pressure you apply. As expected, it smudges right after application, but after just 3 seconds, it not only doesn't smudge but also doesn't come off even when rubbed. I also like that the color isn't too pitch black. After 8 hours: As I tend to tear up easily, there's some smudging. Rather than looking messy, it's as if it's been wiped away along with my tears. This is pretty normal for me. However, while the brush pen wipes off cleanly, the pencil can leave a messy residue, so you need to check it occasionally. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMar 5, 2022
It draws incredibly well and has excellent staying power. It's the best pencil eyeliner I've ever used! The price is a bit on the higher side. Also, it's quite fragile and breaks easily, unfortunately. - da*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJul 11, 2021
It absorbs well with minimal smudging, and I'm already on my 5th one. Some products harden and become difficult to apply over time, but this one stays smooth throughout. I love how it consistently applies effortlessly. Due to its soft texture, you'll go through it quite quickly. It's a good idea to stock up when you find it on sale or in bulk deals. - na**********Combination SkinRecommendedMay 16, 2021
It absorbs well and has minimal smudging. Honestly, I hadn't used a pencil in a long time due to excess oil, but after trying the Dejavu pencil, I switched from pen liner to pencil! I also disliked the excess powder fallout... As for longevity, unless you scrub it off vigorously with foam cleanser, it stays on for a long time! Unless you scrub it off vigorously with foam cleanser, it stays on for a long time! This might actually be more of an advantage than a drawback! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 28, 2021
As a makeup beginner, I was a bit intimidated by brush pens, but this one is easy to use and doesn't smudge easily. I think it's great! After some time, it seems to clump slightly in the T-zone, making it appear darker... I got that impression.
