I've been using the Veil Mineral Primer, and it's definitely a repurchase! While I don't use it daily, I bought the travel size and it's perfect. Just a tiny amount helps my makeup last longer and smooths out the texture of my cheeks (which have huge pores), as well as the fine lines around my forehead, mouth, and eyes. Unlike silicone primers that clog my pores and cause blemishes, this one is incredibly lightweight. It feels like you're applying a thin layer of mineral powder! It adheres to the skin with a blurring, silky effect, maintaining a velvety, luxurious finish that's perfectly matte. I avoid applying it on my nose where oil tends to make makeup clump, but I focus on my forehead, cheeks, around the mouth, and under-eye area. It even subtly brightens the complexion by about half a shade! This is an absolute must-have for weddings!
ConsWhile it's great overall, I noticed some cracking and deep dryness when I was in a very dry environment for a long time. Avoid powder at all costs in dry places! Also, if your skincare is too heavy or oily, it can cause pilling and won't give that silky finish. For best results, use a moisturizing base that leaves the skin surface feeling fresh.
TipTo really see this primer's magic, apply small amounts and gently press it into your pores using a spatula for a smooth finish. The particles are so fine that if you apply it carelessly or unevenly, it might not penetrate the pores and could actually make them more noticeable. Make sure to use a spatula or your fingers to evenly spread and press it into the skin for the best results!
