For oily skin, shade 23, and acne-prone skin with redness: This is honestly fantastic as a touch-up cushion! I always carry a cushion for touch-ups, and for clumsy people like me who worry about spilling expensive products, this is perfect. It's just the right level of quality for an affordable cushion. The scent is lovely, and for those with oily skin, it keeps controlling oil throughout the day. It's truly an excellent cushion for touch-ups! You're not thinking of using this as your main foundation, are you? Absolutely not recommended! Be very careful as it tends to settle into fine lines and pores. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 25, 2020
The skin finish is so beautiful, I can't help but reach for it. It offers great coverage and fills in pores well, making it perfect for those battling with uneven skin texture. It's so sticky that you can't bear it without setting powder. A light dusting with a fluffy brush won't cut it. It feels heavy on the skin, and when I use this alone, I always get blemishes on my forehead. Even when applied thinly, it still feels thick. Despite choosing the darkest shade, it's still a bit light for my shade 23 skin, so I always have to blend it down my neck. For this price, the quality is impressive, but you'll need to manage your expectations. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 22, 2020
Affordable price point Covers pores better than expected Applies with a cool, moisturizing feel The subtle sweet scent lifts my mood Breaks down terribly around the chin and nose areas Doesn't seem to control oil well. Makeup starts to break down in less than 6 hours Touch-ups don't work well, and it seems to separate? At first I thought, 'Oh, this is nice!' and was satisfied, but as time passes, I find myself frowning at the mirror... It's frustrating... It looks so messy The scent barely lingers.. I actually wished it would stay longer... The T-zone oiliness is no joke.. I definitely didn't get that blurring effect.. I'm a bit conflicted... I wanted to make this my go-to product... - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 21, 2020
Considering the price, I think the quality is not bad at all. It's incredibly hydrating, adheres well to the skin, and doesn't seem to clog pores much. While it can conceal small blemishes, it struggles with larger ones. It feels more like it evens skin tone rather than providing full coverage. The staying power is a bit weak. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 8, 2019
As a teenager with dry skin, I've used this for a month and it hasn't caused any blemishes or made my skin rough! It's great for applying before school and convenient to carry around! The makeup tends to break down a bit quickly, and there's some noticeable pilling. But I don't really mind those issues, so it's still okay for me! Remember to touch up after lunch! The touch-ups blend in seamlessly, so don't forget! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 26, 2019
I don't usually wear makeup, but I decided to give it a try and I'm satisfied. I have very oily skin, and when I use my friend's products, my face gets super shiny. But this one doesn't do that! I'm not really knowledgeable about cosmetics, so I'm not sure. I think it might not be great for those with dry skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAug 21, 2019
This is my first time writing a review. - Color: I was satisfied with how it gave a naturally radiant look without appearing too light on my skin tone. For reference, I'm between shades 21.5 and 22.5. - Hydration: When it comes to cushions, it's all about that moisture, right? This product didn't crack or dry out, and kept my skin feeling hydrated throughout the day. - Price: Usually, good cushion foundations cost around $20-$30, but this one is priced at about $9.90, making it one of the more affordable options. In terms of value for money, I'd say it's pretty good. Now, let's talk about the downsides. - Pore-clogging: The way it settled into the pores around my nose area was no joke. Up close, it looked almost disturbing. It also seriously emphasized my blackheads. I can't count how many times I had to remove and reapply my makeup because of this issue. - Itchiness: I'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but I kept feeling itchy when using this product, which didn't happen with others. - Staying power: It breaks down in less than an hour. And when it does, it's not even a graceful fade. - Transfer: After a phone call, I noticed the foundation had transferred onto my phone screen. I had to touch up my makeup. - Miscellaneous: When I applied eyeshadow over this cushion on my eyelids, products that usually work well for me started to cake up. The gradation didn't blend properly, and the color payoff was poor. Oh, and the product tends to dry out quickly, but if you flip the sponge over while wearing vinyl gloves, it applies as good as new. - ne***Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 5, 2019
First off, it's incredible value for money! Shade 1 was too white and I have some redness, while shade 2 felt too intense. So I went for shade 3, which is just a tiny bit light, but it looks natural enough to work well. It's perfect as a summer cushion foundation. It provides decent coverage while giving a soft, matte finish. Yet it doesn't feel overly dry and applies smoothly. (I'm not usually one for wearing much makeup, haha!) It has decent staying power, and with SPF50, it's all you need to carry around during this season! Unfortunately, shade 3 is almost always out of stock... It seems like it might be discontinued due to low demand. I had to call several places before I could find it to purchase. Also, I don't think it'll work well once the weather turns cold. Given its matte finish, it's probably best suited for use from May to early September only. I noticed it tends to clump a bit if you pat it on vigorously from the start. It applies more naturally if you gently smooth it over your skin instead. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 16, 2019
I recently discovered this affordable cushion from Holika Holika, recommended by beauty YouTuber S. The scent is light, similar to other budget-friendly cushions like Peripera or Missha, which I personally don't mind. The Hwahae Testers will love that it adheres beautifully to the skin and provides excellent pore coverage. In fact, among all the cushions I've tried (including IOPE, YSL, Clio, BBIA, Jung Saem Mool, Peripera, Missha, and Giorgio Armani), this one gives the smoothest finish without a primer. It sets to a matte, porcelain-like finish that's simply stunning! I highly recommend this for those struggling with visible pores. However, it does break down rather unattractively over time. As hours pass, it settles into fine lines and emphasizes dead skin cells. Touch-ups are definitely necessary. While I won't repurchase, I'm using this cushion frequently because it makes my skin texture look beautiful. Just keep in mind that the shade runs slightly light when making your purchase!
