For skin around the 21-22 shade, it blends in naturally for shading, without being too obvious when using other products. - It's good for shading not just small areas like the nose, but also larger areas like the hairline and chin.
Cons- I'm not sure if the highlighter is good or bad since I don't use it much. - It's on the matte side, so the blending isn't super smooth.

ConsI used to love the glossy feel of the previous version But after the renewal, it has become much more matte

I just rub it on with my hands😑 The color suits contouring around the jawline better than cheekbone contouring. It has a slightly reddish tone and is a bit too intense ㅠㅠ The highlighter part has a pearlescent finish, which I'm using for my aegyo sal and it looks nice.
ConsThe setting is too fast. It has a matte finish even after applying powder.
TipIt's powdery to apply with a brush. Melt it with your hands and then spread it out.

There is a barely visible fine pearl in the highlighter, allowing for a natural-looking highlighting.
ConsThe angled design makes it easy to apply for shading. Although it is matte, due to the formula, when applied alone, it can cause oiliness in the nose shading area, so a powder-type shading should also be used.

I'm not sure if I'm cool-toned or warm-toned (I searched the internet a lot to figure it out, but it just got more confusing! So I decided to just use what I like). But I find that anything with a hint of pink suits me well. Etude House is a very famous brand, and even their lightest shades before the reformulation were too dull and the contouring was too dark and orangey for me, so I had to throw them out. But after the reformulation, I have high hopes and tried it again. Well... using the new products feels great 👌 And the ingredients are nice!
ConsFirst of all, it's too thick and creamy ㅠㅠ Since I'm looking for a matte skin expression, the texture is a bit like crayon, and I'm worried it might peel off the more I use it. And it seems like reddish contouring just suits me best. When I use this, it looks so orangey, dark, and obvious, no matter how little I apply 😆 It really shows. And the color matches me perfectly, but I'm scared the pearls might get stuck in my pores 👉👈 Primer is a must! And the contouring, I'm just too chubby, so it's uncomfortable to do nose contouring 😐

It has a highlighter and shading on the front and back sides.
ConsPerhaps due to my dry skin or the matte foundation I use, it tends to sit on top of my skin and doesn't blend in well.

When the <Etude House 'Play 101 Stick'> was first released, I was very interested but didn't have the chance to try it out. This was a great opportunity for me to experience it. I would like to express my gratitude to the Hwahae representatives and the Etude House team for providing me with this opportunity. My skin type is combination, but it leans more towards the dry side. Compared to the existing product, First, it is said to be more powdery and adhere to the face for a longer-lasting finish. The body is a bit more plump, and the face-contacting area is diagonally cut, allowing for a smooth application that fits the facial contours. The most significant change is that the contouring area is much wider now. A few quick swipes can easily create contouring. The 01 Original shade is the most popular and versatile color that anyone can use. It has a bright highlighter and a medium-toned brown color that would appeal to everyone. The highlighting part melts softly with body temperature and applies with a dewy finish, while the shading part has a slightly more dense and semi-matte feel. It adheres naturally to the skin without feeling heavy. The blending is very smooth, and there is minimal patchiness, so even beginners can use it easily. Compared to the lighter shade, the shading color is more dense and semi-matte, making it easier to set. After swiping it on, immediate blending is necessary to achieve a seamless, blemish-free application. There was little to no peeling or slipping of the base during use. The texture finishes with a slightly more powdery feel. It has no sheen and appears more dense and adherent.
ConsAs I mentioned earlier, the shading color appears to be more dense and semi-matte, making it easy to set. This means you need to blend it out quickly to avoid any patchiness. Secondly, the highlighting part seems to be a bit too white. While it looked fine visually, when applied on the skin, it appeared quite stark and white. This was a bit disappointing. Thirdly, the shading part tends to blend out too easily. After a single swipe, the shading would get diffused and blended out, making it a bit difficult to apply it cleanly. The diagonal shape may not be an absolute advantage either. While the wider area is great for contouring the entire face, it can be a bit challenging for smaller, more targeted areas. Apart from these points, the product seems quite nice overall.
TipAh, that's a great tip! Dampening the puff slightly and then blending the product could be a really effective way to work with it. That should help smooth out any patchiness or over-blending issues with the shading. Thanks for sharing that helpful application technique!

'Thank you very much.' The case was absolutely gorgeous, and the shading color was perfect for someone like me with a 21 shade. Although the highlighter seemed very white before blending, it became nicely luminous and provided great highlighting after application. I am truly satisfied. Unlike other contouring sticks, the angled cutting made it more convenient to use compared to other products. ConsThe only downside is that since I have dry skin, it doesn't work as well with matte foundations or cushions.
TipAs everyone knows, you should apply the shading to the cheekbone area and jawline, then blend it out. If your face is long, you can also apply it to the area under the chin. For the highlighter, you can use it on the forehead, cheekbones, and nose. For nose contouring, powder-type shading works better than stick-type.
