On the bus to work while oversleeping... ㅠㅡㅠ While doing my makeup, I had this product sample and tried it for the first time, and oh wow.. The radiant glow I love was beautifully expressed, and it applied lightly, transparently, and thinly, so I was very satisfied. Especially after applying my winter base skincare, if I gently pat this on with my fingers in a thin layer and then press a light coverage cushion on top of the lacking areas, my base makeup is done in 5 minutes. It's so convenient and nice. ㅎㅎ The product packaging also fits snugly in a pouch and isn't heavy, so it's good for travel, rushed mornings, and quick outings near home. The Hwahae ingredients aren't bad, and even though I'm sensitive, nothing flared up.. I bought it when Missha had a sale and shared it with my mom, and she liked it too. In the dry winter, you need to look dewy to look youthful, and this worked well.
Cons1. Don't expect too much coverage. For blemishes, dark circles, and discoloration, you'll need to use a concealer or a more coverage-focused cushion as a second step. ㅋㅋ 2. Radiance... If you dislike a glowy look or prefer a more matte finish, this isn't for you. It applies with a light hand-patting motion, but you have to be careful not to touch your face too much after, as it can leave fingerprints. It has a runny, water-based formula and doesn't adhere that well. Using a puff or brush applies it better, but still watch out for the hand-pressing marks. 3. Breakdown The breakdown isn't pretty. Worn alone, by afternoon the T-zone and eye/lip areas can get splotchy and break down. This is probably the biggest downside. ㅠ ㅠ You'll need to carry the cushion around to touch up.
TipIt has good coverage, but mixing it with a drier cushion or foundation makes it more hydrating and luminous..

It's moisturizing~The lasting power also doesn't seem bad! It's good to use on dry weather days
ConsIt seems to apply a bit thickly and the coverage is weak!

This product has a very fluid, runny formula. Due to the formula, the coverage is not that great, but I really liked how it adheres lightly yet evenly on the skin. And as the name 'Glow Skin-dation' suggests, it gives a subtle glow, making the skin look healthier. I have a combination skin type, and my T-zone area is quite dry, so flakiness often appears over time, causing the base makeup to break down. But this product really supported my dry T-zone well and didn't cause any flakiness, so I was completely satisfied with it in terms of the flakiness issue!🙊🤭
ConsWhile I was satisfied with this product in terms of dryness and flakiness, which are important factors for me when using base makeup, I was quite disappointed with its performance in terms of controlling blemishes and longevity. 😢My combination T-zone is extremely oily, and this product just broke down too easily on my oily areas. After about 2 hours of wearing it, my nose area was completely covered in oil, so I had to re-touch my makeup. And I also developed a few large, painful blemishes on my forehead and cheeks, which didn't just look like small bumps. So I think sensitive skin types should definitely do a patch test before using this product, as there seem to be quite a few ingredients that may not be suitable for sensitive skin.🤔
TipIf you use a sponge to apply this product, the sponge will likely absorb most of the base, leaving very little for your actual face. 😂 I think this product works best when applied with a foundation brush. The brush with a flat, porous head works particularly well with this product.😊 Since this is a very lightweight and thin formula, you should also apply your skincare and primer products in thin layers before using this, so that it doesn't slip or move around too much and you can achieve a glowing, seamless look.👍

I was selected for this Hwahae Trial Reviewer program and got to try the Missha Skin Foundation in shade 23 Sand. My skin type is dry and I have a bit of pores on the sides of my nose. I don't have many uneven textures, but my skin tone is slightly yellow and uneven, so I really focus on color correction. The foundation I was using before was the Etude House Double Lasting Foundation in Neutral Beige, which has a slightly grayish beige tone. It's about the same shade as a typical 21. When I first swatched the Missha product on the back of my hand, it looked like a slightly dark, reddish color, and I thought it would look dull and dark on my face like a suntan. But when I actually applied it, it wasn't as bad as I expected. The color seems to match the darker areas of my face well, and 23 is a new shade for me but the overall tone looks quite even and natural, blending well with my neck. Instead of just using the Missha foundation all over, I applied my usual lighter foundation on the high points of my face like my cheekbones, so it didn't look too dark overall. When I used to just apply the matte foundation all over, it would look a bit dull and emphasize the dryness and flakiness of my skin, especially in this dry season. But with the Missha foundation as the base, I didn't have that problem, and it gave a nice, glowy finish that I really liked!
ConsHowever, since it's more of a hydrating type, the longevity wasn't very long and it felt like it got absorbed quickly. Over time, the discolored areas around my mouth and the uneven parts of my skin tone started to show through more. It also transferred a lot onto my phone.

Moisturizing As someone with extremely dry skin, even after applying a rich moisturizer, my makeup would still feel a bit dry and accentuate flakiness. But this product doesn't cling or emphasize flakiness at all! 2. Application The watery formula initially surprised me when I squeezed it out, but being thinner in consistency, it applies smoothly and evenly. 3. Adherence I was worried the 'Glow' in the name might mean it would be a bit tacky, but it adheres nicely to the skin without feeling heavy or transferring easily. There's also no visible patchiness or fingerprints left behind. 4. Longevity Given the lightweight application, I was concerned it might break down quickly, but I was pleasantly surprised by its impressive wear time. In my experience, it lasted around 7-8 hours before needing any touch-ups.
ConsIt's really great in every other way, but the coverage is a bit lacking ㅠㅠ It doesn't conceal redness or blemishes well, so a concealer is a must!

When applied lightly with a puff, it looks very natural. As it has a glow, it illuminated my skin beautifully. My skin is a bit dark, but applying the beige shade looked natural since it's a sand shade.
ConsSince this is a skin foundation, the coverage was a bit lacking. There was some pore clogging. It also didn't control oil and blemishes very well. The amount wasn't too much though.
TipWhen applying this glow skin foundation lightly with a damp puff, it looks very natural. This is my personal method, a handy tip.
