This serum has separate hydration and oil layers, so you just need to shake it before use. I bought it out of curiosity while trying to hit a price point at the store, but I had no idea I'd be this satisfied. It's perfect for spring and summer, with an ideal oil and moisture balance for your skincare routine.

Before shaking, it feels like a toner, but after mixing the oil layer, it becomes slightly thicker - somewhere between a toner and an essence. It absorbs well into the skin. I rub it between my palms and press it into my face. The scent is so lovely, it's truly healing... Just using it lowers my stress levels. I think I'll repurchase this after I finish the bottle.

It's suitable for all skin types. For combination to normal skin, this alone might be enough in summer. However, it might not be quite sufficient for very dry skin.

It noticeably softens skin texture and improves overall skin condition. As someone with super sensitive skin that often reacts poorly to cosmetics, I'm thrilled that this product didn't cause any blemishes or skin irritation!

There's nothing particularly bad about it. If anything, having to shake it before use might be a bit of a hassle. The price is also a bit on the higher side, which is somewhat disappointing.

1. My holy grail hydrating essence! I've tried various hydrating serums, essences, and ampoules, but they only felt moisturizing when applied and then seemed to sit on top of my skin. However, the Clarins hydrating essence has amazing staying power. It has a light, water-like texture similar to a toner, but the hydration doesn't evaporate - instead, it feels like it's deeply absorbed into the skin.

2. I love how it has a lightweight, fine texture that doesn't feel heavy on the skin.

Make sure to shake well before use. I apply it by putting some on both hands and alternating between right and left hand application (then cupping my face with both hands and crossing once more). This is because the water and oil formulation seems to have different weights.

After using about half the product, there's a flaw where it doesn't pump out evenly and sprays to the side. One pump is enough to cover the face, so the amount doesn't decrease quickly. The product is listed as having many harmful ingredients (though only two if you exclude colorants and fragrances).

This is a reliable hydrating serum that's easy to use. It contains oil, which helps the moisturizing effect last longer. The fine particles absorb well, and its blue color gives a refreshing sensation that makes your skin feel extra hydrated. Personally, I preferred this to the Double Serum. It works perfectly when I use the Bue Lifting Serum at night and this one during the day.
