It has quite a matte finish, which wasn't bad for my oily skin. However, those with dry skin might find it a bit drying. It feels a bit cakey, and the packaging is somewhat inconvenient. It's convenient and nice to use if you transfer it into a Daiso cushion compact. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinFeb 16, 2021
I've been using this foundation for over 2 years now, and it's my holy grail! It blends seamlessly with my skin and makes it look flawless. It's like a semi-matte finish? It feels moisturizing when you apply it, but it sets to a beautiful matte finish! As time passes, it melds with my skin's natural oils, making my complexion look even better. The shade range is gorgeous, and the price point is fantastic. I've lost count of how many bottles I've gone through, but I'll definitely keep repurchasing. Before finding this, I was a foundation nomad, but this is truly my ride-or-die! Since using this, I don't even need a touch-up cushion anymore. There's not much to complain about, but if I had to nitpick, it might be the packaging? It seems to leak a tiny bit and can look a bit messy. However, the small and lightweight bottle is actually great for carrying around! My application method: I squeeze some foundation onto the back of my hand, then pat it onto my face with my fingers. Afterwards, I use a large sponge (I buy the bulk ones from LaLa Bla) to gently bounce and blend it into my skin! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 6, 2021
Scent: A strong baby powder fragrance mixed with cosmetic ingredient notes. Application: Glides on moisturizing and sets to a semi-matte finish. Coverage: 'Medium-high' - Despite its lightweight application, it effectively conceals blemishes. Skin Appearance: Applies thinly and lightly, setting to a semi-matte finish for a soft, powdery look. The lighter shade is great for brightening the inner parts of the face. Provides a natural brightening effect! There's a bit of darkening effect, and it tends to settle into fine lines around the nose. Unfortunately, it doesn't wear off gracefully. Try using it with a damp sponge + setting spray or a solid skincare base + regular sponge combination for best results! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 5, 2020
When applied, it feels pleasantly moisturizing and becomes matte over time. Initially, the coverage is quite decent! It tends to transfer a bit too much, and as time passes, all the covered imperfections start to show through. There seems to be some slight darkening, and it gradually breaks down. It's disappointing when it crumbles and clumps up as it wears off. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 14, 2020
The matte formula was the only redeeming quality... unfortunately. The shade is too dark compared to No. 1. There's no in-between with Hwahae... No. 2 should be the middle ground, but it's not. After a while, it separates, settles into pores, and severely emphasizes dry patches. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 9, 2020
Best value for money! It has decent coverage and I love its semi-matte finish. Unfortunately, it tends to darken over time. On oily areas, it slightly separates after a while. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2020
I have skin that's prone to redness, with dry cheeks and chin, but an oily T-zone. When I first applied this, it went on smoothly with a nice hydrating feel. After a while, it settled into a pleasant semi-matte finish, making me think it would be perfect for someone like me to use year-round. I considered buying a shade lighter, but this one seems just right. Even though it's semi-matte, when oil builds up around my nose, it immediately transfers and leaves marks. These days, wearing a mask makes the inside even warmer, which probably contributes to this issue. I think it might be okay when not wearing a mask. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 29, 2020
I bought this after watching Director Pi's video! First off, I think the best advantage is its value for money. And the ingredients are pretty good too, in my opinion. It applies moisturizing but finishes matte. The staying power is just average! It tends to break down a bit... Powder helps, but it's too drying to use powder in winter, so that's a bit disappointing. I have a light 21 shade, and mixing shades 1 and 2 of this product gives me the perfect match! Shade 1 was too light and shade 2 was too dark on its own. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 12, 2020
The coverage was quite good! I'd recommend it if you like a matte finish. It had minimal transfer (except for the T-zone). First off, the case gets dirty very easily. It collects grime even without much handling or rubbing. The twist-open lid design means foundation builds up inside the cap and around the threading. For me, it looks very cakey, even with thorough skincare prep. It emphasizes dead skin cells terribly, especially in the T-zone. There's also excess oil in the T-zone. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 23, 2020
First off, it's great value for money and the coverage isn't bad at all. If you're a fan of matte-finish foundations, I'd definitely recommend this one. As someone with dry skin, I noticed some flaking in winter, but with a good skincare routine underneath, it can still provide decent coverage.
