It felt like it absorbed slowly, so I didn't use it in the morning. I usually pop my pimples when I bathe at night, and I use a skin pack to soothe the affected areas! This product didn't sting at all when it touched my freshly popped pimple spots! I couldn't visually see any whitening or improvement, but I did feel that my complexion looked brighter.!!! I didn't get any new breakouts while using this product!
ConsEven so, I don't really want to buy and use it ㅠㅠ If I used it in the morning, the absorption was slow, and if I didn't wait for it to absorb properly or pat it in, my makeup would feel a bit uneven Since I have dry skin, I felt very dry after using it ㅠㅠ The scent... I think it's an orange scent... but why does it smell like a baby mosquito repellent to me? ㅠㅠㅠ I really didn't want to use it because of the scent ㅠㅠㅠ Most of all, the product's pump! It's so inconvenient I'm not sure if the one I received was defective, but every time I pressed it, it would come out to the side and drip...

The texture is neither watery nor sticky, but refreshing, so it was good to use both as a cleansing toner and a 7-skin toner. I used it every morning and evening after cleansing - I pumped it onto a cotton pad, wiped it on, and then patted it in with my hands. On days when my skin felt dry in the evening, I did the 7-skin method with it. When I wiped it on just once, the moisturizing effect lasted a long time, and it made my makeup apply better before using it. My skin tone also became a bit brighter, and the texture of my skin improved.
ConsThere's a bit of a surface-level feel to it. Even when I wiped it on with a cotton pad after cleansing, it didn't seem to absorb into the skin and had a bit of a surface-level feel, so I had to pat it in quite firmly to get it to absorb. The scent isn't strong, it's close to unscented, like rice water? But I'm not a fan of that. But it seems to be a matter of personal preference, as my sister didn't mind it at all. And in terms of value for money, there's not a huge standout benefit. It's not bad by any means, but it's not amazingly good either... There are probably many similar quality products at a lower price point.
TipIt works well as a 7-skin toner!

The 'Rice Essential Tone Starter' contains 41% fermented rice water, which is great. The rice water essence is gentle and provides a lightweight, refreshing feeling, making this product perfect for me to use without any burden. The formula is almost watery, so it gets absorbed quickly by the cotton pad. I pump the product onto a thin cotton pad and use it in two steps - first to wipe, and then to gently pat into the skin. As a tone starter, it helps balance the skin tone well. It's great to use in the evening, but I think it would also be nice to use in the morning before applying moisturizing or hydrating products, and then doing makeup. I don't have acne-prone skin, but during my period, I did get some small bumps around my chin and upper lip area. I was worried that changing my skincare might make it worse, but there was no major irritation, and the bumps actually calmed down after a couple of days. Since I have a skin type that is not very sensitive, that might be the reason. Please keep this in mind! Personally, I would recommend this more to those with slightly oily skin rather than very dry skin.
ConsCompared to the toner I used before, the hydration felt a bit lacking, even though it's the seasonal change. As a tone starter, I didn't expect it to be super hydrating, but the absorption was slow, and my skin still felt a bit tight even after applying moisturizing products. Those with very dehydrated and dry skin like mine might find their face feeling uncomfortable, with tightness or itchiness. Even though it's not my whole face, the drier areas do feel itchy. I think it would be better to follow up with an ampoule, serum, or multi-effect product after using this tone starter.
TipI think a thicker cotton pad would work better than a very thin one. Even after 3-4 pumps, the product got absorbed quickly, so it didn't feel like it was really sitting on the skin when I was wiping. Using a thicker cotton pad might help me wipe the skin more effectively and leave a more refreshed feeling.

My skin type is combination and prone to dryness and flakiness! The product is called a 'Starter', which feels like a toner that first touches the skin after cleansing. Since the product itself is very lightweight, it would be better to use it as a toner rather than an essence. (It seems to have been originally intended for that purpose!) I used this product 2-3 times a day for 5 consecutive days. In the morning, I simply did a water cleanse and finished with this as a toning step. When I returned home in the evening after going out, I did a thorough cleanse with a foam cleanser, and then used this product in two ways - patting it on with my hands. The watery formula works well both as a toner and as a toning step after cleansing. The ingredients are also gentle, so you can use it without any worries. The Innisfree-style packaging is clean and appealing. It has a refreshing lemon-like scent, and there was no unpleasant feeling when applying it. The pump packaging is also great for hygiene.
ConsDespite being a liquid formula, the absorption is a bit slow and takes some time. As a combination skin type prone to dryness, my skin tends to quickly feel dehydrated after cleansing, but while this product didn't leave my skin dry, it took some time to really sink in and hydrate my skin. The gentle ingredients seem to have focused on the soothing effect, but there was no noticeable calming effect, and it didn't provide any other notable benefits either. It seems to only have the immediate effect of relieving dryness after cleansing.
TipAfter trying both the toning and patting application methods, I found that patting the product in with my hands works better for this product. Make sure to pat it in thoroughly to allow for proper absorption.
