For a hair loss shampoo, it's surprisingly gentle and doesn't leave my hair feeling overly stiff, which is great. I think it's due to the menthol, but if it gets on my face, there's a lingering burning sensation that lasts quite a while.

I've been using this brand for over 5 years because I love how silky smooth it makes my hair (my mom and aunt included). I've recently finished about two bottles of the Black Bean version. I'm leaving this review because I'm truly disappointed. I've been raving about how soft it makes my hair and my whole family has been using only this product. I even decant it into small containers for travel. To think this was the cause of my hair loss... Recently, I forgot to pack it once while traveling and used whatever shampoo was available for a few days. Surprisingly, I didn't experience any hair loss. Out of curiosity, I tried my husband's shampoo (he uses any random brand) and still no hair loss. Sure, other shampoos make my hair feel less smooth, but I wasn't aiming for silky smooth baldness! Since switching products, I no longer worry about hair loss. The same goes for my mother and aunt. Realizing we've experienced significant hair loss over 5 years of use makes me feel regretful, which is why I'm sharing this... If you want silky smooth hair, I recommend alternating this product with others. It seems that in its effort to improve hair texture, its cleansing power is weak, which might be causing hair loss.
