It definitely seems to have a less smudging effect. I tried using a cotton swab for hygiene reasons, but the brush applicator works better for sure. While it might be challenging for the waterline area, it's excellent for the outer corners of the eyes! As I have sensitive eyes, there's some irritation. I actually bought this because my eyeliner tends to smudge a lot on the waterline, but applying it there causes my eyes to go crazy. Tears start streaming down. It seems best to use it just for the outer corners. When I applied it to the eyelid line, it had a slightly shimmery effect which I didn't like. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 5, 2020
I'm not sure what was supposed to be good about this... It was rather disappointing. I applied this to prevent my eyeliner from smudging, but when I tried to put it around my eyes, it stung terribly. Ironically, using this product actually made my makeup smear and look worse. I only used it once and never again. Try applying it only to the ends of your eyebrows. Be extremely careful not to let it touch your eyes. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 2, 2020
It definitely seems to last longer than when I don't wear it I'm not sure if it's just me, but after a few hours of wearing the concealer, the areas where I applied it start to flake like dead skin cells. It's frustrating! Also, the packaging is a problem - the printed parts on the outside peel off so much that my hands get dirty every time I use the concealer. I really wish they would change the packaging. - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 2, 2018
I bought this after watching Isabelle's YouTube video! It's really great for water activities! It has good staying power in water and is great overall, but it works best when you apply it after controlling excess oil on your skin. However, when I tried to increase its longevity for everyday wear, not in water, it had no effect at all. If it gets in your eyes, it stings like crazy. It's also incredibly drying on the skin. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJan 21, 2016
There is certainly a difference in applying the product properly versus improperly. It tends to spread less. I'm not sure if it's just me, but after about an hour of applying it, my eyes started to itch. I ended up rubbing it all off with my hands, wiping off my makeup. I used it a couple more times before stopping. In fact, I don't recommend this product. It would be better to use a waterproof product instead. Those with sensitive skin should avoid purchasing this! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 23, 2015
The PVP-based waterproof plastic provides a certain degree of coating and fixation. These days, kids are even making liquid monsters with glues containing this ingredient, which shows how non-toxic it is. However, since it's water-based, it doesn't provide a dramatic fixation when wet. For a product under 10,000 won, it's not bad. Therefore, I give it 3 stars. Even though it contains triethanolamine, it still causes severe eye irritation. This made it difficult for me to apply it around the eyes personally. Eye makeup is the highlight of makeup, but a product that irritates the eyes is ambiguous in terms of its identity. I bought it for eyeliner, but I couldn't use it several times because of this. If you're trying to prevent eyeliner from smudging, it's better to look into other options. However, this watery consistency doesn't seem suitable for anything other than eyeliner. Despite containing alcohol, the evaporation rate is low, so it takes time to dry. The built-in brush is as stiff as the brush in a nail polish, so it's awkward to use on top of a completed makeup look.
