I heard this uses patented technology with tiny needles that penetrate the skin to help acne heal faster. It's amazing - if you apply this for just a day or two, it brings pimples to a head, drains all the sebum, and reduces them quickly. I always use this on large blemishes. It's hygienically packaged with two patches per pack. The pointy bits can hurt when you press them into your skin, especially on acne-prone areas. But I guess you have to endure it if you want quick results... Apply this before your skincare routine, as it won't stick properly after applying products due to the oils in them! - co********Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresMay 4, 2022
The pointed applicator makes it feel like it's going to heal blemishes quickly. However, in reality, it doesn't heal that fast and the effectiveness isn't as impressive as expected. - 2m*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 3, 2022
This was the first microneedle patch I tried, and it's been the most effective for me so far. I used them sparingly, only on stubborn, painful blemishes, and each time the results were impressive. Though I don't get breakouts as often now, I still cherish every patch when helping my sibling with their skin issues. These patches truly work hard to clear up blemishes. The price is exorbitant, exorbitant, exorbitant! When they first came out, the high cost seemed justifiable due to the novelty of microneedle technology. However, now that there are many alternatives on the market, I feel their price competitiveness has significantly dropped. - mi********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRednessRecommendedMay 2, 2022
Among microneedle spot patches, this one's the best. First off, the needles are densely packed. Other brands often have sparse, flimsy needles that barely touch the blemishes, but these needles penetrate thoroughly into the affected area. My skin tends to scar easily when using patches, but the adhesive on this one is just right. It doesn't damage my skin when removed, which is a huge plus. The packaging is sleek too. They come in pairs inside a plastic box, perfect for storage after use. Some brands just use ziplock bags, but the attention to detail in this packaging is really satisfying. Interestingly, this company also manufactures Innisfree's cica patches. As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm really impressed with how well these work without causing irritation. They're pricey... These microneedle patches are quite expensive. Though it's not just this brand, all of them tend to be on the costly side. Make sure to press gently after application. This ensures the active ingredients from the needles penetrate effectively. - cj**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 22, 2021
This is my must-have for making blemishes disappear without a trace! (Update: I've used 20 more since my initial review) ⭐️Recommended for those who know how to use and maximize microneedle patches! I've compared this product to similar ones, considering factors like expected performance and price range: If your expectations differ, you might find this product less satisfying or expensive. So please use this comparison as a reference! 👉🏻Contents: Skin Type > Usage > Effects > Product Comparison & Advantages 1. Skin Type I have sensitive combination dehydrated skin with a strong barrier, but I get medium-sized regular blemishes during hormonal cycles, or breakouts on my chin/cheekbones due to mask friction and makeup under masks. I don't use this product for small bumps, but for larger pimples. It's perfect for those big pimples that don't show pus on the surface yet, but are slowly forming underneath! (For pimples about to pop, I apply a bit of tea tree oil and use a pre-extraction patch to open the pore. I recommend the purple Nexcare patch from Olive Young (a Hwahae recommended item!)) 2. Usage After cleansing, pat the area dry with a tissue or cotton pad, then apply the patch. Press firmly in the center to feel a slight sting, then press the edges with a tissue for better adhesion. (Same method for all microneedle patches) Not for small bumps ~ (not very effective) Use on inflammatory acne when it's just starting, before any pus is visible! 3. Effects When applied to inflamed blemishes or deep-seated acne, it helps reduce inflammation from within. The swelling goes down, and after about 24 hours, the skin becomes flat. 1) After extracting a pimple, use a regular patch if the area is already flat. 2) For post-extraction inflammation or keloid-like swelling, first heal the outer wound with Acropass or another patch, then use this patch to remove scarring/keloids. (Don't apply directly to open wounds, as it may worsen the condition) This approach helps reduce remaining inflammation and treats scars, healing much faster than regular patches. It also prevents recurrence in the same spot, resulting in clearer skin with less scarring. 4. Advantages of Microneedle Patches♥️ Perfect for deep-seated blemishes that haven't formed a head or visible pus yet! I use regular patches (for post-extraction) and pre-extraction patches separately. This product is specifically for pustular, inflamed blemishes. Highly recommended! 5. Unique Advantages of This Product⭐️♥️ + Product Comparison🎶 I've tried three microneedle patches: Innisfree's clover-shaped one, Easydew, and this product. I've used at least 10 of each, and about 15 of this particular product. (This product comes in sets of 10 - 2 patches per pack * 5 packs) (1) Comparison with Innisfree🧡 Innisfree has average recovery rate and slightly lower adhesion. Given that microneedle patches need to be worn for over a day to be fully effective, I felt I couldn't always get the full benefit. However, it felt gentle each time, and with retinol & cica ingredients, it seemed to soothe and heal quickly after extraction. The downside was having to order online as it's not readily available in stores like Olive Young. Also, the clover shape design makes it a bit awkward for everyday use. Why add a design? The adhesion isn't great either. (2) Comparison with Easydew🧡 Like this product, Easydew can be easily purchased with points at Olive Young, and you can expect sales. The recovery speed is similar to this product. :) The effectiveness is comparable, but Easydew has better adhesion. However, it's more expensive, so I pass! It was convenient though. The metallic color showing through is a bit unappealing. This product is better with its transparent needles! 1) The price is on the higher side, but it's worth it! While some might complain about the price of microneedle patches in general, I actually didn't mind. A dermatologist visit for non-routine issues (non-insurance covered) plus prescription medication for inflammatory acne usually costs between 15,000 to 33,000 won! These days, I rarely go to the dermatologist, and with no time on weekdays, having these patches on hand makes at-home blemish care totally possible. They cover areas where self-extraction with a lancet + regular patches and ointments were limited. I love how they help minimize lancet extractions, reducing scarring! (Great for preventing major inflammatory breakouts before they form a large opening on the skin) 2) Not recommended for contact dermatitis or when inflammation has already formed a visible pus head! In these cases, it could actually irritate the skin, so use cautiously. Especially, DO NOT❎ use after extraction as it may cause scarring. After extraction, first use a post-extraction patch to heal the open wound, then use this to treat keloids or scars. I think the pickiness of a product with strong effects is that you need to approach it more carefully. You need to find your own method that works well! 1) Understand the product's purpose & role before trying! 2) After cleansing, remove moisture from the area and apply to bare skin (Same usage method for all patches, mentioning that it can't be used simultaneously with tea tree or other products) 3) Avoid using on small bumps or contact dermatitis Relatively ineffective on blemishes where pus is already about to emerge - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 24, 2021
I liked that when I had it on, I could touch my blemishes without spreading bacteria. That was the only positive aspect I found. It was just irritating... I'm disappointed because it seems like it might clog my pores even more. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 11, 2021
The packaging is neat and tidy. It's conveniently packaged in pairs, making storage easy. The effects weren't particularly impressive... I bought it with high expectations because of the price, but I was a bit disappointed. Still, it seems to have a slight soothing effect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 25, 2021
This is a product I use regularly and repurchase before it runs out because it's so effective on blemishes. There's nothing I dislike about it except for the high price. I'm quite satisfied with it! - ch*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 6, 2021
There are no positives. None at all. Don't buy this. The only remotely useful thing is that it might prevent you from touching your blemishes by covering them with something. Overpriced. Ridiculously expensive. For this price, you could buy two other patch products. And yet, you only get 10 patches! The price per patch is absurd. They don't stay on. They fall off easily. The instructions say to keep them on for over two hours, but that's impossible. They come off within 10 minutes. No soothing effect on blemishes, no help with pustular acne. Simply put, it has no effect on blemishes whatsoever. Ironically, this blemish patch contains harmful ingredients. Don't buy this. They shouldn't even be making and selling products like this. One star is too generous. I wish there was a zero-star rating option. - ls*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinDec 23, 2020
I slept with it on and it seems to have improved a bit... haha When I applied it, I felt a slight tingling sensation. However, I'm not sure how it differs from other patches.
