While it doesn't have extremely strong coverage, it provides sufficient coverage without feeling heavy. This actually makes it less burdensome to wear. If you choose a shade that matches your complexion well, I think it could create a fairly natural look. The formula is thick but not sticky or runny! Compared to other products I've tried, it sets and adheres to the skin more quickly after application, which can be both an advantage and a disadvantage. For makeup beginners like me, I felt that some skill is needed to apply it evenly. If you don't properly hydrate your skin beforehand or apply it directly without blending, it can clump up and pill. Apply in thin layers - qg********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 18, 2021
It's Chanel, after all. Offers medium coverage. Applies smoothly and evenly. Doesn't settle into pores. Cleansing effectiveness is not bad either. The price is wickedly high. Other brands likely have products with similar coverage. Unless it's a gift or a well-deserved treat for myself after a really tough time, I'd probably opt for products from other brands. That being said, this product still holds value simply because it's Chanel. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 17, 2021
Unlike other foundations or cushions that often look thick or make my makeup appear cakey, this product gives a natural brightening effect while making my skin texture look better. To put it simply, it feels more natural than other brands' products. Plus, it's Chanel, which speaks for itself. The price is a bit steep compared to the amount you get. However, those who don't wear makeup often can make it last over a year. Also, without using powder, it tends to break down quite easily. Using powder is absolutely necessary with this product. Blemishes do appear occasionally, but if you manage your skin well with a mask or hydrating moisturizer right after cleansing, it's manageable. Also, using a puff allows for a thinner application, while patting it on with your hands results in a thicker layer. Keep this in mind when applying for the best results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 15, 2020
It's excellent. It applies in a very thin layer, allowing you to achieve a natural complexion like celebrities on TV. I received it as a sample, loved it so much that I went to the department store to purchase it. It's that good! It creates a natural, undetectable look and gives you a healthy-looking complexion. I really like it. The price is higher than expected, and although it's a men's line, it transfers more easily than anticipated. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 19, 2020
Perfect for men! It's the best and looks so natural. Other products just don't suit men as well. The main drawback is that it's a bit hard to see how much product is left in the container. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 19, 2020
Before Boy de Chanel came out, I used Chanel's foundation or cushion in shade 30, but since they were women's products, they often had a yellowish tint or looked too pale, which made application tricky. This product has solved those issues. It applies smoothly without being oily, and the best part is the wide range of shades tailored specifically for men's complexions. As it's a matte product, those with dry skin might experience some flaking. The price is on the higher side (perhaps due to the brand name). 1. Don't buy men's makeup products online - visit a store to test them in person! It's crucial to find a foundation that matches your skin tone, otherwise you might end up looking like a kabuki actor or a gyaru. 2. If you find it too matte, try mixing it with a moisturizer or sunscreen. 3. For those with large pores, apply a primer before using this product. - dl*******Oily SkinAcne SkinMar 20, 2020
The way it absorbs is not bad compared to other foundations I've used. I switched from another line of foundation to this men's line, but I can't really feel any significant advantage. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 10, 2020
It absorbs really well and looks surprisingly natural! Plus, it's super convenient to carry around. As others might have noticed, it has this distinct strong scent. It's exactly like that makeup smell you catch when someone's applying it next to you on the subway. It's a bit off-putting. I find myself avoiding it naturally when I have indoor plans. Make sure to check the fragrance and test if it suits you at the store before purchasing. - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedJan 25, 2020
The color is definitely not too intense for men to use, which is great. When I lightly apply it with a damp puff, it creates a natural, effortless makeup look that's perfect for everyday wear. I find myself using it frequently in my daily routine. The price is quite steep, so I'm using it sparingly. I suppose it's because of the Chanel brand name. - kd*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 28, 2019
First off, it applies incredibly thinly. The absorption is fantastic, and maybe because it contains dimethicone, it adheres to the skin perfectly. It makes your skin look amazing, and I've received so many compliments on how good my skin texture looks when wearing this. It's lightweight, surprising, and my skin feels comfortable. There might be an ingredient that doesn't agree with my skin, as I get a few small blemishes when I use this. The coverage is only about 3 out of 10. Also, the color range is disappointing. My skin tone is light for a man but dark for a woman, so it's tricky. I bought N30, but it's way too dark. I considered exchanging for 20, but it seemed slightly light. So now I use this as an all-over base and enhance the coverage on highlight areas with my go-to MAC cushion. Using a puff instead of a sponge applies it more evenly and smoothly. If you use a silicone puff, you can achieve even higher coverage.
