Atoderm was a product that I discovered through my sister's recommendation, who was working at a pharmacy when my first child had atopic dermatitis. It was an immense help. Being oatmeal-based, it provides a sense of reassurance, and applying it every time my skin feels dry instantly stabilizes my skin. Personally, I'm very sensitive to combination skin, and when my face feels taut, applying this makes the dryness disappear instantly, and the lasting effect is remarkably long-lasting. There's no feeling of evaporation, and my skin becomes soft and warm. The application is on the thinner side among body lotions, and it's completely fine even for oily skin. Since children with atopic dermatitis also use it, it has no relation to breakouts whatsoever.
Cons
However, it may not be effective for all atopic dermatitis patients. My third child also has severe atopic dermatitis, and the effect was not as significant as with my first child. As their skin was more extremely dry, other products were needed. While it's excellent for mild atopic dermatitis, for severe cases, the lotion's texture may temporarily cause itchiness. Also, it has no fragrance at all, and there's a slight distinctive smell, so if you prefer any scent, this is definitely not the choice for you.

This product is really great for severe atopic dermatitis. When the seasons change abruptly, my hands, face, and eyes become itchy, and as I scratch them, the skin becomes rough and scaly. If I continue scratching, it becomes discolored and dark. The dermatologist prescribed this product, and I've been using it, and it's a must-have for me during seasonal changes. It's non-irritating and a bit thick. But if I use it consistently for more than a week, the itchiness is greatly relieved, and it doesn't sting or anything. My husband also has atopic dermatitis with severe dry skin, and after I got him this product, he only uses this one now.

My skin was extremely dry. It was so dry that I had to use milk for cleansing. Even after using milk, my skin would still turn pale. But this product has helped me regain the radiance in my skin. I'm so grateful for this product.

It's expensive. And the scent is not fragrance-free. But it's not fishy either.
