It's gentle. It's not a sticky, gooey formula like some gel cleansers, but applies smoothly and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized after cleansing. There's no dryness or tightness. Pros
I started using this product based on the recommendation from an esthetician. It's been about 2 years since I started using it. It's moisturizing without irritating my sensitive skin. (It works well for me even though I have dry skin.) The healthy fragrance is also nice!
Cons
Unlike some other reviews, the lather isn't dramatically bubbly. It has more of a smooth, creamy cleansing feel, which may not be preferred by those who like a more foamy wash.

Pros
Although my skin is combination-type and not overly sensitive, it tends to get a bit unbalanced with the changing seasons. However, I don't experience it too severely, so I prefer to use gentle skincare products, which is why I use a lot of Aveda products. They leave my skin feeling moisturized and smooth, almost like my pores have been refined. In the evenings, I cleanse my face, and the next morning, I just use water to cleanse - and I feel like my skin has just gotten better? Maybe it's just my imagination, haha.

First of all, the Aveda gel cleanser doesn't really lather up much, and even after cleansing, my skin still feels a bit slippery. The foam doesn't really build up much, so I end up double-cleansing because I feel like it's not cleaning my skin thoroughly enough. Pros
I feel like my blackheads have significantly decreased. I would say my skin has become smoother. After trying a different product for a while, I realized how much better this Aveda product was, so I switched back to it.
Cons

I have sensitive skin. I've been using it for over a year. I started using it when breakouts were coming up, but I felt like the breakouts were calming down, so I kept using it. After washing, it doesn't feel tight and it finishes off feeling moisturized, which is very good.
Cons
These days, adult acne is really flaring up... Since I'm obsessed with cleansing, it doesn't feel squeaky clean enough... The moisturized finish is actually not what I prefer. It doesn't seem adequate for covering the cleansing needs of adult acne.
