The scent is lovely. I really enjoy Aveda's signature fragrance. Is there something wrong with my skin? It feels completely dry after use. My skin feels tight and the slippery sensation isn't pleasant for me. I've resorted to using it as a hand wash - while it cleanses well, it leaves my skin feeling more tight and dry than regular soap. My hands are already quite dry to begin with... Although I generally like Aveda, this product just doesn't seem to work for me.

I'm satisfied that my skin doesn't feel dry after cleansing. Despite being a cleansing gel, it has excellent cleansing effectiveness. It's gentle on the skin. Despite being a gel, it's not sticky but applies smoothly and leaves skin feeling hydrated after rinsing. There's no sensation of dryness or tightness. The scent, to me, is reminiscent of ginseng found in herbal cosmetics, but it's subtle and pleasant. I recommend it for morning cleansing or as a second cleanser to remove light makeup in this makeup-free era. Personally, I prefer cleansers that produce rich lather, and although I have dry skin, I like that squeaky-clean feeling after washing. This product doesn't foam at all. Worried about the lack of foam? Don't be! This cleanser's effectiveness isn't dependent on bubbles. It thoroughly cleanses without leaving your skin feeling tight afterwards. Instead, it leaves your skin incredibly hydrated and feeling great. The signature Aveda natural scent is so refreshing and uplifting. As someone with dry skin, I'm usually cautious when massaging foam cleansers, but with this product, I don't have to be so gentle. The price tag is a bit steep, which is the only downside. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I've switched to products that prioritize post-cleanse hydration over that squeaky-clean feeling. - Indeed, compared to other products, this one leaves my skin feeling less dry and more moisturized after cleansing. - It's my first time trying a gel cleanser, and I was surprised by Aveda's watery consistency - it's more fluid than a typical gel. However, I found this actually blends well with my makeup when cleansing, which I really like. - I'm prone to occasional small blemishes, but I didn't experience any breakouts or skin irritation after using this product. - I bought this for my first cleanse, but I'm disappointed that it doesn't seem to have strong enough cleansing effectiveness. - Most importantly, while it's pricier than other options, I don't see any standout benefits in terms of cleansing power or results. These days, there are many affordable and gentle cleansers on the market, but this product, despite being pricier and containing some potentially harmful ingredients, keeps me coming back. After use, my skin feels wonderfully hydrated. It also does an excellent job at cleansing. The price is on the higher side, and it contains several potential allergens.
