The conclusion is that it's really good. After washing my face and toning, I applied a tiny, tiny amount of glycerin and a tiny, tiny amount of cream. And the dryness completely disappeared. I don't know why moisturizing creams are so expensive. Glycerin is incredibly cheap, moisturizes well, and I don't need to buy an expensive cream anymore!! And when I do this skincare routine and then do my makeup, the foundation just glides on so smoothly. It feels great. Also, after washing my hair and towel-drying it, I apply it instead of an essence. And while it's still damp, I apply some jojoba oil to condition it. I haven't been using hair essence because when I apply it, my hair gets sticky and oily. But I'm not sure if I see immediate changes in my hair like I do with my skin. My hair didn't have major issues before. I'll make adjustments by comparing it to when I don't use glycerin.
ConsWhen I apply it to my dry hair, it feels a bit stiff. Applying just the glycerin to my face does improve the dryness a lot, but it feels like anything could stick to my skin. It's not sticky or anything, but it feels like dust in the air could just cling to it. But it doesn't feel like my hair will stick to it or anything!
TipI'll mix witch hazel toner and glycerin in a 4:1 ratio to make a mist. And they say glycerin is a humectant, so it's best to use it when your face has some moisture. So after cleansing, I'll spray my homemade mist and then apply the glycerin. It's just so moisturizing... Then I'll follow up with a small amount of jojoba oil or cream. Otherwise, it feels like dust could just cling to my face. I'll make a rose water + glycerin + essential oil mist and bring back the review.
