It gives a glow... definitely a glow. A subtle, luminous glow. It's certainly not greasy. However... it doesn't help foundation stay on. When applied over it, the makeup tends to clump or peel off. - qp****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedMay 14, 2023
Skin type: In summer, I have slightly combination dehydrated skin, but in other seasons, extremely dry. My skin is thin with redness and small pores. Even slightly oily products cause immediate blemishes. No matter how dry, I can't use functional toners or essences. I'm a sensitive, milia-prone person who only tolerates hydration. Wanting a natural glow doubling as a highlighter, I tested famous non-shimmer and shimmer products in-store, but found little difference! The non-shimmer ones give a slight oily sheen? I'm currently using Sculpting, which is a bit more noticeable. For oily skin types, this level of glow might work, but for extremely dry skin like mine, it's a godsend. Even if dry inside, it prevents the skin from looking parched on the outside. I had preconceptions about balm-type or oily products as I rarely use them, but I'm quite satisfied and using this well. I'm not sure if it contains pore-clogging ingredients, but as someone with sensitive skin, I noticed tiny bumps appearing on my forehead after using this. It's not a major concern though, and can be managed with night care. Another downside is the price. I know there are similar products on the market, so I wonder if Chanel was really necessary... Whether it's worth it or not... well... As makeup might slightly pill or come off, warm the product in your hands and pat it gently onto your skin for application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 13, 2023
This is an absolute must-have for someone with truly dry skin like me! Rather than tackling deep dryness, it gives a beautiful glow after makeup application. While the price is a bit steep, I find it lasts quite a while, so I'm considering repurchasing. - nj****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 19, 2023
Great for applying frequently when skin feels dry. I even use it over makeup when my skin needs hydration. Nothing special except for the price. I alternate this with a non-shimmery product. - ji*******Dry SkinRecommendedMar 10, 2023
I was torn between the transparent and sculpting versions without shimmer, but the pearls are not noticeable, making it much more natural and less cyber-looking than I expected. When applied to the tip of the nose, it gives a translucent effect, and I found it more natural than powder highlighters. Rather than using it all over, I prefer to dab it on my puff and apply it mainly to the tip of my nose and cheekbones. It's a bit tricky to apply due to the nature of stick products. If you apply it directly over your base makeup, it can disrupt the existing base. Even though it contains pearls, the effect is subtle when applied, so if you're looking for a more dramatic highlighting effect, it might feel slightly lacking. However, I personally like the natural look, so this aspect was fine for me. Instead of applying directly from the stick, it's better to dab it onto a puff first. I sometimes pat it on with my fingers, but for larger areas, this can create visible edges. A beauty blender works well for this product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 17, 2023
I love how it gives a natural glow effortlessly. It's smooth and can be comfortably applied over makeup. There's nothing really bad about it. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey. - um****Dry SkinRecommendedJan 11, 2023
It's great at providing hydration to dry areas, giving a completely natural glow Nothing particularly bad, but the small amount for the high price is disappointing - iu********Dry SkinRecommendedSep 17, 2021
It provides a truly moisturizing and luxurious subtle glow. Even after a long time, it doesn't dry out, and I really enjoy using this product. I can't think of any real drawbacks, but if I had to pick one, it would be that it's a bit pricey. Other than that, I'm completely satisfied with this product. When applied to the forehead and cheekbones, it looks absolutely beautiful. - lo*********Normal SkinSensitive SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedAug 5, 2021
The velvety smooth application and subtle shimmer are absolutely gorgeous! It's perfect for achieving that coveted Inner Glow look. The price is steep, especially considering it's not even full... That's Chanel for you. Be careful when applying, as it can pill if not done correctly. Gently pat it onto areas where you want to highlight. For a beautiful finish, apply it by gently patting with a clean puff. - mc***Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 1, 2021
As expected, it lives up to its reputation. Among similar brands, it absorbs well. I love that the texture is firm and doesn't break down easily. The price is wickedly high compared to other brands. We're paying for the Chanel brand name at that cost... After applying brightening moisturizer, I spread it under my eyes, around the philtrum, and to the chin. Then I lightly dust on some dewy compact powder. People often compliment me on my complexion!
