It's moisturizing and absorbs smoothly. I have oily skin, so I only used it in winter, but those with dry skin might find it suitable for summer use as well. I noticed that whiteheads seemed to form a bit faster when using this product. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 31, 2025
Unlike other gels that feel cool when applied but lack hydration, this product provides surprisingly good moisture for a gel formula. Even my husband with oily skin, who usually finds other gels too drying in winter, is using this product happily. I haven't found any drawbacks yet. I might try it on my face during the summer months. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 23, 2025
It absorbs beautifully! This is my go-to moisturizer. Highly recommended for dry skin types. For combination skin, I suggest applying it only to the cheek area. I wouldn't recommend this for oily skin types. If you only use this moisturizer before bed, you'll wake up with an oil slick! If you still want to use it, make sure to layer it with other creams. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMar 2, 2025
The Ato Soothing Gel is perfect for rapid hydration. For combination to dry skin, especially in winter, mixing it with jojoba oil works wonders. Its gel texture absorbs well and spreads easily. It would be great if they released a smaller size under 100ml. The current 175ml is inconvenient for travel as it needs to be decanted. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 3, 2025
Although I haven't finished the entire bottle yet, it applies smoothly and absorbs well. It doesn't feel irritating, so I think I'll be able to use it for a long time. While it doesn't cause blemishes to suddenly appear, it feels like it's all about hydration...? It's definitely not a functional skincare product for soothing blemishes or tightening pores. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 18, 2025
- Excellent hydration Despite being a gel, it's more moisturizing than many emulsions. One layer is sufficient in summer, while two layers provide a plump feel in winter. - Absorbs well - Leaves skin feeling fresh and hydrated - Generous amount, perfect for frequent application when skin feels dry - Didn't cause any blemishes - Fragrance-free - While some well-suited creams can improve skin texture, this one, despite its good moisturizing properties, didn't show noticeable effects on skin texture enhancement. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 10, 2025
It has a nice level of hydration, and the best part is the ingredients. There's no irritation, it absorbs well, and I really like it. I've bought it several times and continue to use it. The scent is a bit off-putting. While it does provide some moisture, it still feels slightly dry. You might need to apply a generous amount. Be careful not to apply too much before putting on sunscreen, as it can cause pilling. Use just the right amount. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinJul 9, 2024
I've been using this for about two months. It absorbs well, feels lightweight, and quickly sinks into the skin. Due to its lightweight nature, the hydration doesn't seem to last very long. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 6, 2024
I bought the 175ml size for around $7 in December 2020. The ingredients are great, and it absorbs well without feeling sticky. It has a nice texture, so I'd recommend it to those who dislike tacky products. Being a gel formula, it might not provide quite enough hydration for use during drier seasons. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinJun 21, 2024
I bought this on a friend's recommendation, and it's truly gentle. My skin has been sensitive lately due to some issues, but I had no problems applying this soothing gel, even on irritated areas. The texture is incredibly smooth, and although I tend to have deep dryness, using just this gel after a toner pack was sufficient. I initially purchased it for both morning and evening use, but it feels a bit rich, so I'll probably stick to using it at night. I appreciate that it's fragrance-free, and the size is quite generous, so it should last a while. It's only my first day using it, so I plan to update my review as I continue to use it. It feels a bit sticky after application. The reason I mentioned using it only at night is because the slightly heavy texture and finish make it impossible for me to use in the morning. I always do a toner pack in the evening, and I've found that applying the soothing gel right after the toner pack and then blow-drying my hair helps lock in the moisture. It's great. About 20 minutes later, I use an exfoliating toner on non-sensitive areas, then finish with another layer of the soothing gel. This really helps to deeply hydrate the skin.
