Personally, I use the Avalon Organics biotin shampoo paired with the Klorane shampoo. I'll do the Avalon one first as a clarifying wash, and then follow up with the Klorane to finish. Or sometimes I'll switch it up and do the Avalon in the morning and the Klorane at night, especially if my hair is feeling particularly oily.

However, this thick, cooling formula might be too much for some people. You do have to be careful when applying it, as it can be quite strong. And the premium price tag is a bit of a downside, so I always keep an eye out for sales at Olive Young.

I usually had to use a two-step shampoo routine, starting with a clarifying shampoo and then following up with a moisturizing one, to keep my hair from getting greasy throughout the day. So I decided to try this shampoo that I ordered online, since it seemed quite thick and heavy-duty.
Personally, I'm very satisfied with it - the thick, heavy texture is exactly what I was looking for. Korean shampoos seem to cater to a preference for a more lightweight, soft feel, but that just leaves my hair feeling weighed down and prone to breakouts. This shampoo keeps my hair feeling clean and manageable all day without any issues. I just use a hair essence to maintain the condition of my strands. As I get older, I'm more concerned about thinning hair, so I don't mind the slightly rougher texture if it means my hair isn't falling out.

I have an oily scalp, but it has a strange odor on the crown, and it has no effect on the greasiness at all, just making my hair unbearably itchy.

I like the mint scent, so it smells good. It's only refreshing when applied. The end.

Since it doesn't lather up much, I'd recommend doing a pre-shampoo wash and then rinsing it off.

However, it seems to be drying me out. I didn't have that much flaky skin before, but it seems like I may have washed it incorrectly, and now I have dryness-induced flaky skin. :(

I also use the matching scalp pack from the same line, and it's really great. It seems to work especially well for men, and I'm very satisfied using it at the gym.

The lather doesn't form well.. I have a slightly oily, dry scalp and bought this hoping it would help balance that, but the cleansing power seems too strong and has actually made it worse..

It feels refreshing, but only the area where the product is applied feels cool, not the scalp itself..

Dispense 1-2 pumps and gently massage it into the palm of your hand.
Then, apply it directly to the scalp and massage it in.
Rinse it off with lukewarm water to finish.

The cream-like formula doesn't clump in the hand, but instead flows smoothly.
However, it can become quite foamy, so those who love big, bubbly lather may be disappointed.
For those with very sensitive scalps, the mint may cause some irritation.

- Apart from the above, everything else is a downside. After using this for less than a week, I developed a severe case of folliculitis (pus-filled bumps) on my scalp. This is probably because it made my scalp too dry, causing increased oil production or reduced cleansing ability.
- It's too runny, and since it's not in a squeeze bottle, it's difficult to control the amount. I end up spilling it on the floor every time.
- The lather doesn't seem to be very good.
- Perhaps because it strips away all the oil, my scalp had a very strong odor on the days I used this.
I've stopped using it for now! My scalp is so itchy. I bought some other Klorane shampoo lines, but I'm worried. Even the mango shampoo caused me troubles. After stopping this and alternating with some other moisturizing and scalp-soothing shampoos for a few days, the situation has improved a lot.

I have an oily scalp and often experience skin troubles.
