It has that unique gel cream feel while being super hydrating and soothing. I loved that it's lighter and more refreshing than typical cica creams.
ConsUsually, when you think of gel creams, you expect a cooling effect, but this one barely had any, which was disappointing. While it's quite hydrating for a gel cream, it's not as moisturizing as you'd expect from a cica cream. This might not be enough for those with dry skin.

Usage period: April 28 - May 8, every evening, using a pinky nail-sized amount ✅Skin Type Typical combination dehydrated skin, dry on the cheeks but oily in the T-zone Slight blemishes and redness, not particularly sensitive ✅Texture I expected a clear gel texture since it's called a gel, but it's more similar to a cream ✅Application It's not a thick formula, so it applies smoothly It doesn't absorb instantly after application I'd like to keep it in the fridge for a cooling effect, but I'm not sure about the ingredients so I'll use it as is ✅Scent It's fragrance-free ✅Pros This cica cream really lives up to its name After cleansing and applying it at night, my face feels noticeably calmer in the morning! I've included before and after photos - evening before application and morning after My face tends to have a slight redness, but it's significantly reduced The cica ingredients definitely seem to help with soothing the skin
Cons☑There aren't really any cons. It seems to effectively calm blemishes, as a cica cream should ☑Due to its nourishing properties, it feels a bit heavy and might not work well under makeup I haven't tried using it in the morning yet, as I'm worried it might cause my makeup to pill It's not that it absorbs extremely slowly, but with sunscreen and other products, I'm concerned it might be too heavy ☑Application The cooling effect is less noticeable It doesn't feel like a hydrating cream, more like a nourishing one Applying it feels like spreading a slippery oil rather than something cool and moisturizing - it's like creating a protective layer
TipMost cica creams tend to be rich and feel a bit heavy when applied! Most people who choose cica creams are dealing with blemishes, right? After applying toner, I recommend using just this cica cream instead of layering multiple heavy products. It's more than enough and does its job well! If you're struggling with skin blemishes, you might need to go on a skincare diet!

Cons1. Despite being a gel cream, there's no cooling effect. 2. Occasionally, the gel cream can pill and leave a white residue. 3. There was no soothing effect, unfortunately.

It takes up less space on my vanity than jar-type creams and is more hygienic. - As I use perfume, I prefer fragrance-free products. This cica gel cream has no added fragrances and doesn't have any noticeable scent, which I appreciate. - Unlike some cica products on the market that contain potentially irritating ingredients, this cica gel cream has zero such ingredients. I felt it stayed true to its purpose. - On the first day, I used it alone for an accurate assessment. It felt like a classic, refreshing hydrating gel cream on the back of my hand, but on my face, it had a slight film-like texture. After an hour, I felt some deep dryness, so I applied another cream (Physiogel) on top. When used in the combination of <toner pack + essence + cica gel cream + regular cream>, it provided just the right amount of hydration, so I continued with this routine for nighttime care. - When I tried makeup with just essence, cica gel cream, and sunscreen, there was slight emphasis on dead skin cells, but I didn't feel dry! The combination of <cica gel cream + moisturizing sunscreen> seems to work really well. The next day, I increased the amount of essence and sunscreen before makeup, and there was no emphasis on dead skin cells or dryness. I think it would pair well with Espoir Water Splash Sun Cream! - As my skin doesn't typically react strongly to products, I found this product's charm to be its unassuming nature.
ConsCons: - While the texture might suggest a cooling effect and freshness, surprisingly there was no cooling effect at all. Instead, it felt like it created a film and was somewhat stuffy. The stuffiness disappeared after it was fully absorbed, but the film-like feeling was particularly strong with this cica gel cream compared to other similar products I've tried, which was disappointing. - When using this product alone, I felt like my skin temperature slightly increased. It probably didn't actually increase, but it felt that way due to the film-like sensation. - If you apply too much at once, it can mix with previously applied products and turn white! Moreover, it absorbs slowly, so when it turns white, you need to pat and roll it quite a bit. It's better to apply small amounts gradually. + The whitening effect seems to occur when the previous layer of product isn't fully absorbed. When I made sure the previous products were fully absorbed, I could apply a generous amount without it turning white! - In the mornings when I'm busy and can't wait for previous products to fully absorb before applying makeup, this product tends to clump up white and takes a long time to absorb. So unfortunately, I don't reach for it often in the mornings. - There are many similar products with better absorption at lower price points, so I probably wouldn't repurchase this with my own money.
TipPro tip: - I didn't like the warm feeling on my skin when rolling this product, so I started keeping it in the refrigerator, which worked great! If you also experience that warm feeling when applying this product, I highly recommend storing it in the fridge.
