I switched from a regular cica cream to this gel type mid-way, and I'm very satisfied. Including the previous cica cream, I've been using this consistently for about 4 years now.
ConsFor those with dry skin, I'd recommend using this along with another moisturizer. While it absorbs quickly and isn't sticky, it feels like it might not provide enough hydration on its own.

Even my usual skincare products weren't helping me get back to my normal skin condition, and it was actually getting worse. (I think I've tried all the supposedly effective skincare products out there. I spent almost all my pocket money on skincare products...) At that point, feeling half-defeated, I purchased the IOPE Derma Repair Cica Gel Cream (honestly, I didn't have high hopes). But surprisingly, my skin gradually started to recover! At first, my skin had many patchy red areas, but after using it consistently for about two weeks, I could clearly see the redness subsiding bit by bit! The effects after continued use are even more incredible. Before, I was so self-conscious about my skin that I would always apply cushion foundation and wear a mask even just to go to the local supermarket. Now, after using it for about a year and a half, I think I've completely finished four jars!
ConsThe price might be a bit steep for students. Probably because it's a gel cream, it feels a bit dry when used alone in winter! (I apply a more hydrating product after this one, and it doesn't feel heavy on my skin!)
TipIt's great to use alone in the morning! (Good for summer, not for winter) In winter, I apply a more hydrating product after this one! Even with this layering, it doesn't feel heavy on my skin.

The application is smooth, and it doesn't take long to absorb into the skin. Since it's not too rich, it's perfect for morning use without feeling heavy. I've been using it worry-free as it doesn't cause any blemishes. The price is also reasonable for the amount you get.
ConsThis cream alone might not be enough if you have very dry skin - you may need additional hydration.

It absorbs well and doesn't feel heavy on the skin, which is great.
ConsIt might be too light for dry skin types, potentially causing deep dryness.

I apply the cream right after using toner. When I occasionally feel dryness, I apply it twice, and it's incredibly hydrating. I have milia + sensitive skin, so I'm on a skincare diet. Using both IOPE Derma Repair Cica Skin and Cream has made my skin feel more comfortable. I absolutely love it!
ConsAs I have oily skin, I don't find it particularly light. Sometimes due to hormonal changes, my skin produces more or less oil. On days when my skin is less oily, I feel a slight dryness, so I apply the cream twice. For those with dry skin, it might be too light in winter, so I recommend using it in summer.
TipIf you feel it's too dry, try applying it twice.

While the effects are subtle, it seems to reduce blemishes. What's definitely great is that I haven't experienced any major skin issues since I started using it.
ConsThe disappointing aspect is the hydration level! True to its 'gel' description, it's a bit drier than other creams. Because of this, I didn't use it alone in winter, but layered it with another cream that has more oil content.
TipI'd recommend this more for oily skin rather than combination dehydrated skin. It seems better suited for summer use rather than winter.

I'm using it with peace of mind since it's free of harmful ingredients.
ConsThe lasting hydration is a bit disappointing. For a gel, it doesn't apply as smoothly as I'd expect.
TipIt's great to keep at the office for frequent application throughout the day.

I'm very particular about ingredients due to my sensitive skin and frequent allergic reactions, but this product is gentle and didn't cause any blemishes.
ConsThe downside is, while I have acne-prone skin, I also have dry patches. It feels fine in the morning, but by afternoon my skin feels too dry. I plan to use a moisturizer alongside this product.

Being a gel type, it absorbs much more lightly than the original cica cream. It seems perfect for summer use. Despite being a lightweight gel, it does provide a slight richness, but not to the point where your skin feels overly dry. It creates a protective layer that doesn't feel uncomfortable. I'll need to use it throughout the summer to see if it's truly a perfect match for my skin. Looks like this product will be my companion for the entire season! *In the attached photos, the bouncy-looking product on the left is the cica gel, while the white cream on the right is the cica cream. *Texture shots of the IOPE cica line
ConsI have a feeling it might be a bit tight in winter... Those with dry skin might experience some deep dryness.
TipWhen you feel a slight tightness, you could apply a bit of cica cream instead of the cica gel on dry areas. (Of course, this is only possible if you have both products...)
