  The Hwahae Testers review: (Apologies for the late write-up, life's been hectic!) From the moment I first used this product, I was blown away by the scent! The fragrance is so lovely - natural and aromatic. I can confidently declare it the best-smelling product I've used in my 2n years of skincare. Another great aspect is how it feels on the skin. It initially applies rich but absorbs well, leaving a fresh finish. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I highly recommend this. For those looking to switch from heavy creams or emulsions to lighter hydrating gels or moisturizers this summer, this product perfectly delivers that desired balance of hydration and freshness. The gentle ingredients didn't trigger any blemishes either!

  Cons

  There was some pilling if you apply other creams before it fully absorbs. Make sure to pat it in thoroughly before applying makeup!

  Tip

  It works great as a standalone moisturizer after toner for oily summer skin, replacing your usual cream or emulsion.

  This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. The scent is slightly floral? They say it contains xylitol, so maybe that's why... But it's not an overpowering fragrance! The scent itself isn't particularly strong either. The texture feels watery when applying, but becomes more elastic once it's on the skin! So even though I have dry skin, I didn't feel too parched after using just this serum following my toner. I was worried I'd use up more than half the bottle in a week due to its small size, but a little goes a long way in terms of hydration, so it's lasting longer than expected! I think it'll easily last about 3 months. The ingredients are clean, so even with my sensitive skin, I didn't experience any hives or reactions. Often when I try new cosmetics, I feel a stinging sensation at first, but with this product, there was none of that. As for effectiveness, being a brightening ampoule, I felt my skin became a bit clearer! The hydration was good, and I felt like my skin's elasticity improved too. It's like my skin became more supple and firm.

  Cons

  I don't think it's particularly cheap for its volume! Even if it lasts longer than expected, I feel like the value for money might be a bit lower compared to other serums. Among the benefits listed on the official website, there was mention of dead skin cell removal, but for that... I think it's better to use exfoliating pads or peeling gels.

  This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I tried to use it at least once a day for two weeks. 1. Absorption: It has a thin essence-like texture that absorbs well. It glides on smoothly and easily. 2. Scent: There's no particularly strong fragrance, just a subtle herbal scent. It's unlikely to be polarizing. 3. Brightening: While there isn't an immediate brightening effect (see review photos), after consistent use for two weeks, it seems to have improved my overall complexion. However, for dark spots and blemishes, the effect is limited.

  Cons

  1. Hydration: Since it's a thin essence rather than a rich one, the hydration level is somewhat lacking. 2. Quantity: The 150ml bottle likely won't last a full month. At 18,000 won for 150ml, it's over 1,000 won per 10ml, which isn't very cost-effective.
