(Even though I have extremely oily hair that gets greasy by afternoon when washed in the morning, with this, my hair didn't get oily until the afternoon of the next day! It's seriously amazing!) - It's great for environmental protection! - It prevents blemishes on the scalp. - It lathers incredibly well. It might be because I really work it in, but... it produces a lot of foam!
Cons- The cinnamon scent is really off-putting (scent preferences vary, but I absolutely dislike it. I hate cinnamon fragrance, and the smell gives me a headache to the point where I strongly dislike it.) The scent makes me hesitant about repurchasing. - The ingredients are not as good as I expected. It's not to the point where it shouldn't be used, but it makes me uneasy. I heard somewhere that using it would prevent greasy hair and improve hair texture... I lathered it on my scalp and hair, waited for 3 minutes before rinsing, but realized this method isn't suitable due to the poor ingredients.
TipI'm using the Hwahae tin case, but absolutely don't buy it! If you don't wait for it to dry completely, the soap melts and it's a mess.

I bought two bottles and used them consecutively, thinking there wasn't anything special. Then I switched to a different shampoo, and about a week later, I realized something. All that time, I had barely been losing any hair! I thought, 'If I keep using the other shampoo, I might go bald in a month!' After that, I went back to this one, forgot about it again, tried another shampoo, and then came back for good. Now I don't even look at other options. The price is wicked, so I buy it directly from the UK. If you team up with a friend and order just under the customs limit, you can use it for quite a while without worrying.
ConsThe only downside is the scent. I've never been a fan of cinnamon, so at first, it seemed even stronger. But as you use it, you stop noticing it as much. Especially after you switch to another product and see how much hair you're losing, you'll think, 'Who cares about the scent?' The cinnamon stick falls off easily after two or three uses when it's wet, so it's not really a major drawback.
TipEveryone might know this, but surprisingly many don't... Always shampoo twice! The first time, it might not lather well and doesn't feel as smooth, but the second time, you'll get lots of foam with just a couple of rubs. It rinses out smoothly, leaving your hair feeling extra clean.

I've been dealing with chronic scalp dermatitis, which fluctuates depending on my condition, despite not having an oily scalp. Using this product immediately calmed it down! I've been trying various shampoos, including those with good ingredients, but they often have weak cleansing power, making it difficult to manage scalp dermatitis during seasonal changes. However, using Lush New + Daiso shampoo brush allows me to get through seasonal transitions without painful and itchy rashes or dead skin cells. The joy of being able to wear black tops again! Seriously, even though I wash my hair every 1-2 days, seasonal changes used to wreak havoc on my scalp dermatitis, but New has been a lifesaver.
ConsThe smell... Oh my... Is this supposed to be cinnamon?! I thought it was a mix of herbs, disinfectant, and plastic... The scent is absolutely awful. Also, the bar format makes storage inconvenient. After buying this, I didn't even bother getting a soap dish, so it sat unopened for a while. Now that I've been using it for some time, it's getting smaller, and I'm worried about how I'll lather it all over my head when it becomes the size of a chestnut. +16.11.17 Update: While it manages scalp impurities well, it doesn't seem to be particularly gentle. At first, it seemed to control my scalp dermatitis due to its thorough cleansing, but it eventually flared up again. It feels better right after use, but by the next day, the affected area hurts and relapses. I think it might be cleansing too harshly, causing excessive dryness and irritation. It might work for oily skin with seborrheic dermatitis, but for my combination-dry skin with seborrheic dermatitis, it's not ideal.
TipYou can find a soap dish like the one in the photo at Daiso for just a dollar. It's perfect for Lush shampoo bars. Using this soap dish helps the bar dry quickly, which is great. If you place it somewhere water won't splash, the bar won't dissolve and will last much longer. The only downside is that the shampoo bar tends to slide around on the raised parts. Also, since the bar can feel a bit stiff, it's best to use New only on the scalp and a different, more moisturizing shampoo for your hair. If you have damaged or dry hair, you might even consider just rinsing with water after using New on your scalp.

I was worried the solid shampoo wouldn't lather well, but it actually produces a good foam and effectively removes scalp oil.
ConsThe scent is nauseating without a single pleasant note. The smell lingers in your hair even after washing, and it's truly unbearable. It feels like I've become a spice vendor in India. I left it in a Vienna hotel bathroom thinking it'd be good for travel, but even the cleaner seemed to dislike the smell and put it in a bottle with the lid closed. After washing, hair becomes very stiff. I wonder why they had to add Red No. 226. When dissolving it in water to lather, the color is so intense that I worried it might stain my fingers. It's the kind of smell that would make you feel sick if you caught a whiff of it while passing by.
TipSince hair becomes quite stiff after washing, it's best to always use a hair essence along with this shampoo.

Being a soap-type cleanser, it lathers up nicely.
ConsThe scent takes some getting used to at first... It has a unique fragrance.
