After struggling for a year with skin reactions from other brands' mineral sunscreens, I spent a long time searching for an extremely gentle sunscreen. I decided to give this product a try. While it's slightly rich, it doesn't cause any blemishes and is quite agreeable, so I've been using it for a year now. It pairs well with Bonajour's derma BB cream. The quantity is disappointing. Sunscreen is a product that needs frequent reapplication and regular use, but the small amount means it runs out faster than expected. - 54********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 17, 2023
The product wasn't sticky and had a light consistency, which made it pleasant to use. I heard many people online recommending it as a good sunscreen for combination dehydrated skin, so I decided to give it a try. It turned out to be better than I expected! Unfortunately, it left a white cast, making my face look pale... There was also a slight floating sensation on my skin, which was a bit disappointing. - pj*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 16, 2023
I tried a sample and loved it, so I ordered the full size! My usual no-sebum sunscreen feels a bit heavy in summer, but this witch hazel one feels so refreshing. I bought it for the upcoming warm season as temperatures are rising. There's nothing I particularly dislike about it! It worked well for me even in winter, but those with very dry skin might find it a bit drying during the colder months. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 25, 2022
As someone with oily skin, I was on the hunt for a sunscreen with less greasiness and minimal white cast. The positive reviews convinced me to give this a try. Although I haven't used it extensively yet, it seems to be a great fit for oily skin types. I previously tried a sunscreen my girlfriend recommended, but was shocked by how greasy it was (she has dry skin). This one has much less oil content, which I really appreciate. Plus, it seems to leave less of a white cast. However, it's not completely oil-free, just on the lower end of the spectrum. I used to have a sunscreen I loved, but I can't remember which one it was, so I'm unable to repurchase it. Also, I'm not sure if it's just me, but I feel like I'm prone to blemishes if I don't cleanse thoroughly after using this. Even after cleansing, I still feel like there's residue on my skin. I end up double cleansing, which might actually be causing the blemishes. - hh*********Oily SkinAcne SkinApr 13, 2022
1. Vegan product I appreciate that this is an ethical product that doesn't involve animal testing. 2. No eye irritation I've often had trouble with sudden eye irritation when applying other products before going out or driving, but with this product, there's absolutely no eye irritation, which is fantastic! 1. Application The texture is thick and heavy, making it difficult to spread evenly on the face. 2. Hydration Perhaps due to its mineral-based formula, I couldn't feel any moisturizing effect, only dryness. 3. Oiliness Maybe because I have extremely oily skin, I surprisingly felt some greasiness. Right after application, when I touch my skin, I can feel something oily on my fingers. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 1, 2021
It provides a nice brightening effect and absorbs well. I use this daily since I know it contains adenosine, which might help with wrinkles too. 1. While it's better than being dry, it leaves a bit of stickiness, which can be uncomfortable when wearing a mask these days. (It might be more suitable for winter.) 2. If you've experienced eye irritation from sunscreens before, this one might also cause that depending on your eye shape and surrounding area. I'm fine with it, but I want to warn those who've had issues with other sunscreens that this could potentially irritate your eyes too. 3. Compared to some other mineral sunscreens from Bona Jour that can feel a bit thick, I honestly feel this one might be more likely to cause blemishes. While it might not be the most hygienic, if you cut open the container after you've finished using it, you'll find there's quite a bit left inside. For those who don't want to waste product, you could consider transferring the remainder to another container to use up. This seems to be the case not just for this product, but for most products in tube packaging - there's always some left even after squeezing it all out. (If this makes you uncomfortable, feel free to just toss it...) - gi******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 29, 2021
No eye irritation at all. It applies smoothly and evenly. The brightening effect isn't overwhelming. If you don't control the amount well, it can pill like dead skin. For a product claiming to be oil-controlling, it's surprisingly rich. - tn********Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRednessJun 27, 2021
It feels like applying a water gel, making it easy to smooth over your face and body. The white cast provides just the right amount of complexion correction. For a sebum control product, it doesn't immediately mattify, which is disappointing. It feels more like it's creating an oily sheen rather than hydrating, and nearby hair tends to stick to it. It might be better suited for winter use rather than summer. The scent is also quite unique, which might be hit or miss for some people. - am*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 27, 2021
I'm leaving this review after using the product for over 6 months. Somehow, when I use only this product, my skin mysteriously improves. It's puzzling because it's not even a basic skincare item, but a sunscreen. There's hardly any white cast, and I keep using it because of its good ingredients and gentle formula. Oil explosion, so shiny... Is this really targeted for oily skin? I have extremely oily skin, so I intentionally bought this for its low oil content, but when I use it, my face turns into an oil slick. Strangely though, it doesn't cause more blemishes. In fact, my small bumps have decreased and my complexion has improved. It's truly a mystery... Here's a pro tip: it works well if you use it with a no-sebum powder. Overall, I'm satisfied with this product. - 20****Combination SkinRecommendedMar 14, 2021
1. Brightening effect It lightens the complexion slightly, but in a natural way. Suits even an average male skin tone. 2. Coverage It helps to even out the skin tone nicely. As someone who doesn't usually use BB creams, this alone gives me a bit of confidence boost. 3. Oil control I used to go through 3-4 oil blotting sheets a day. Now, I don't even carry them around anymore. 1. Price The quantity is small, but the price is high. We're taught to apply sunscreen generously, but...sigh. 2. Dryness Perhaps because I used it in winter, it felt a bit drying. It didn't cause any tightness though.
